--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: So, hubby was sick last weekend. Saturday evening he got the chills and a low fever. Then body aches. But mostly his face hurt, like he had a sinus infection and was puffy around his nose/eyes/cheeks and since he has sinus issues we didn't think much of it. He mostly slept from Sat evening to Monday morning and he called off work Sunday night. They said he had to get a COVID test before he could go back. So he went Monday afternoon and we didn't get the results until Friday morning. He tested positive. WUT?! How?! He doesn't grocery shop with me and at work employees and customers all have to have their temp taken and they have to wear a mask. We have no clue where he picked it up, but that was a real shitter. We've been living with the walking plague and didn't even realize it. Now he, and us, have to quarantine for 14 days from his 1st symptom which was Sat 7/11. The kids and I went to get our tests done Friday afternoon, but we won't get results for 5-7 days. So far, we all feel fine, but the kids are betting who will test positive. If anyone would, it would have to be me. I have the closest contact with hubby and he was drinking out of my bathroom cup before he got sick. I've told him over and over to stop fucking doing that. He has his own damn cup! Damn, that shit just pisses me off. Anyway, his fever was gone by Monday lunch-ish, the body aches by Tuesday. He had very little coughing but what he did have was caused by his sinuses draining. He went outside to check on the tomatoes on Weds and said fatigue just hit him. That may be a lingering side effect for who knows how long.

So, that's been my stressful week with another stressful week ahead. How've you guys been?

Touching Nature: Hotter than Satan's asshole after hot wing night. I'm going to try to get the mowing done this morning and not keel over.

Book News: I'm getting caught up. Yay! Still have 6 reviews to write but hoping to do that this coming week.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Some Buffy the Vampire Slayer (season 3), but mostly some Perry Mason on DVD. We're in season 6 now.

At the Flicks: Nope

Cyberspace Playground: Nope

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Don't rely on the weather forecast for more than a day ahead. Because it's never going to be fucking correct.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. Yikes! Carol, OMG! I'm glad his case wasn't serious... Wouldn't be surprised if he caught it from someone asymptomatic and even though y'all don't have symptoms it seems unlikely you wouldn't have caught it, right? Hopefully you all continue to feel well and he gets to 100% soon - sending your family healing thoughts and vibes!!!

  2. It's the asymptomatic crap that scares me the most. Like you just don't know. This virus is tricky. I am hoping he feels better soon and the side effects aren't too bad. Make sure you all get plenty of rest.

Today is stupid hot and I hate it! :)

Hope this week is awesome for you with all negative tests! <3

  3. I hope your hubs has no other symptoms! He'll be lucky because some can be scary and last for life (some had toes cut etc.). And yes he will be tired for weeks. That's a normal symptom. I cross my fingers that no one else has it on your home!

  4. Crap, that’s not good, I hope he is ok, he sounds like my husband - not doing what he is told! Fingers crossed the rest of you are ok.

  5. OH no! I hope the effects don't last. 5-7 days isn't so bad - hope they are negative. I've heard some places it's 10 days or more. But it's still a long time. We are just happy to stay home. I did get the weedkiller put on part of the yard I fenced off this afternoonm, even tho it was 97 with a feel of 104. Oddly it didn't seem to bad.

Have a lovely week. Stay safe and be kind.
