--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: Will my life ever be quiet and uneventful? Probably not. *sigh* Anyway, we had lots of cold and rain. No snow, but it got really close to freezing. Yikes. We did inside projects including installing the last two ceiling fans we've had for months. So I can cross that off my list. Yay! Then hubby finally finished cutting nearly all of that tree that came down during Hurricane Michael's aftermath. He has the stump and about a 7' piece of trunk to cut up yet. We think we counted 67 rings, but we may be off.
Touching Nature: Rain, rain, rain, and cold. I loathe that combination. Then the sun came out Friday and Saturday and we got some stuff done outside. Yay!
Book News: I'm at 76% on NetGalley. Inching closer to that coveted 80%. I wrote the 4 reviews I needed to write, but I finished 2 more books. I hope to write those reviews today. I have 5 more books (actually 4.5) to read if I want to complete my November goal. I have a feeling it won't happen since this week will be a busy one. In any case, it's a race to the finish line. Isn't it exciting?!
Don't Touch That Dial!: We're in season 2 of Arrow. That's about it.
At the Flicks: Nope
Cyberspace Playground: Nope
Randomness: Yes, I wear a Fitbit. lololol
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Do not let the shiny internet distract you from things you need to do. Use it as a reward instead.
That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.
I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
Be sure to wear your expandable pants.

hahaha thanks for this bout of wisdom LOL And good luck reaching your 80% on Netgalley ;-) Sophie @bewareofthereader
ReplyDeleteIt apparently was NJ's first snow storm ever because the entire state totally spazzed. Glad you all got just rain.
ReplyDeleteThat tree is freaking huge. Will that be fire wood or his hubby going to build you a library. My vote is a library.
YAY for 80%!!!
Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading!
We got the rain and frigid temps too. Now it's sunny and warm again. I'll take it. One thing about bad weather, there's always those to do lists. LOL
ReplyDeleteWe had the same weather as you - I'm in NC. I'm enjoying the return to autumn this week. I'd raked all the leaves in the yard, then the rain last week and it looks like I didn't do a thing!! I'm going for a relaxed week but so far I've been busier than ever since there is so much I want to do. Happy Thanksgiving! Anne - Books of My Heart
ReplyDeleteYes you're in NC too.
