Solace’s village has hated her for as long as she can remember. Even though she has no idea why, it’s not much of a surprise when the 100 year deadline comes up, they send her off to be the next sacrificial bride to the Demon King. She goes because even though the villagers hate her and treat her like shit, she wants them to continue to be safe. Once she’s pregnant, the demon baby will eventually eat its way out of her and she’ll be dead. Awesome.

I know this isn’t supposed to be some grand masterpiece, but Solace is so irritating I had to give up after only 20%. She’s incredibly self-depreciating and has zero self-esteem. She has a constant stream of verbal diarrhea coming out of her mouth and it’s all about how she sucks at everything, but she loves everyone, blah, blah, blah. The Demon King is a handsome man. No demon at all. The baby eating it’s mama is a thing, but the King decides Solace is just too good to sacrifice for his demon seed. So there is no sex, monster or otherwise. The writing could use some work, too. I just couldn’t take it anymore. Maybe someone else would like this and stick with it. I just didn’t have the patience to see it to the end.
