Hello and Happy Sunday!
(post written on Saturday)

On the Home Front:
  • Sunday - Finished up the cleaning. Worked on the reviews for the Monster Porn Monday post. Relaxed. Finished a book I started awhile ago. I have too many of those books on pause right now. It bugs me. lol
  • Monday - Took Kyle to work since his dad needed to be there 2 hrs ahead of him and I felt bad he'd have to sit around before clocking in. Worked on the blog. Took Anna to the airport. Called mechanic to pick his brain why Kyle's car won't start. Could be a fuse.
  • TuesdayTook Kyle to work. Had AAA tow Kyle's car to mechanic. Worked outside with Trip.
  • WednesdayTook Kyle to work. Worked outside with Trip.
  • Thursday - Marine Corps birthday. Hubby and Kyle took the day off. Since the company gives everyone Veteran's Day off they now have 4 day weekend. Grocery pick up as well as stops at the pets store, and BJ's. Worked outside with hubby.
  • Friday - Veteran's Day. Rained all day. Picked up Kyle's car so had breakfast at the diner next door to the mechanic's place. Ran a few other errands as well.
  • Saturday -  Cleaning day. Then for dinner we had BBQ from a local church's annual sale. We live for this day every year. Mmmmmmmmm...
  • Today -  Hopefully just relax. Maybe work on the blog.
Mom's week: So, mom tested possitive for Covid on Weds. Then an xray at the assisted living showed pneumonia so my brother took her to the hospital. After hours there, many tests, and an xray by the hospital, the only thing she has is Covid. So she went back to the facility. They have her on Paxlovid and a Z pack. Her symptoms are mild so far. My brother and his wife then tested positive. Bummer.

Touching Nature: Hurricane/TS Nicole dropped some rain on us. It was warm and humid, but it's supposed to drop 20º today.

Book News: Other than finishing a book, I didn't get shit done on this front this week.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Season 2 of Bones.

At the Flicks: Not yet.

Cyberspace Playground: Still Wordle and Zen Match

Randomness:  More like 45 for me, but close enough.

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Be true to yourself or end up being miserable.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. BONES is one of my all-time favorite TV shows. :D Is this your first time through or are you rewatching?

Sorry your mom got COVID. I know that's really hard for her since her immune system is already compromised from the cancer. I hope her case stays mild and she gets over it quickly. I hope your brother and his wife have a mild case and get better quickly too.

    Have a good week!

    1. It's both. We watched until maybe 2015? Or so? So it's a rewatch then the rest we've never seen. lol

Everyone has been vaccinated and boosted. So far so good with just mild symptoms. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

    1. She said the antivirals are making her sick so she's stopped taking them. I don't blame her. Otherwise still mild symptoms.
