Hello and Happy Sunday!
(post written on Saturday)

On the Home Front:
  • Sunday - Mostly relaxed. Actually fell asleep while reading and family let me sleep for several hours. Must have needed it.
  • Monday - Rocky vet appt for heart worm prevention shot. Rained hard.
  • Tuesday - Artemis vet appt for ear infection. Trip and I took down Halloween decorations.
  • Wednesday - Worked on Anna's room.
  • Thursday - Grocery pick up. Worked on blog.
  • Friday - Had Trip use Backpack Blower on the roof then I did the rest of the battlefield. Leafageddon Battle III complete. Nancy came to do the dogs' nails. I started cleaning and doing a fuckton of laundry because Artemis is taking prednisone for an ear infection and it's making her thirsty so she's peed in the house several times. Which makes for many towels to wash. Ugh. Picked up the grandkiddos for an overnight.
  • Saturday -  Between breakfast for dinner last night and this morning's actual breakfast I've gone through more than 2 dozen eggs, over half a loaf of bread and about 3/4 tub of butter. They went home around 1:00 and then we watched Ellie while Anna and Jess went to a concert in Charlotte. Did some more cleaning.
  • Today -  Probably knocking out the unfinished cleaning. Then relaxing.
Mom's week: While she is doing better overall and enjoying the activities, her legs and feet are quite swollen. In-house doctor switched her to Lasix and now she's peeing like crazy and swelling is going down some. She did fall in her room, but admitted she wasn't using her Hot Wheels (rolling walker). Bruises and a couple scrapes. She has an appt with cardiologist Weds to see what's going on with the water retention. We went through this with dad and his congestive heart failure so we'll see. CT scan to see how much damage the chemo and radiation did on the stomach cancer is coming up on Nov. 21st. Hopefully knocked it out for quite awhile. *fingers crossed*

Touching Nature: Warming up. Got some rain. Supposed to be 80º tomorrow?! WTF Battle III of Leafageddon complete. Trip and I intend to work outside M-T-W mornings to get some things done.

Book News: I read 5 monster porn for a Monster Porn Monday post. The good news is there are 5 more in the series so I'll have another post next month. Woohoo! I also managed to knock out 3 reviews this week on the 12 review backlog. Whew!

Don't Touch That Dial!: Finished Lucifer. Wow. What an emotional roller coaster that last bit was. This is a show I'll rewatch over and over, I think. Started Bones which will be a partial rewatch up until season 11-ish or so? Not sure when we stopped watching, but we'll do it like Supernatural, from the beginning all the way to the end this time. Also watched the Hurricanes.

At the Flicks: Not yet.

Cyberspace Playground: Still Wordle and Zen Match

Randomness:  At 54, I wonder if I still have a warranty?

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Oh yeah. You think it's going to be a sneaky little bit of relief and it turns out to be so rotten even your own eyes water. Good times.
That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  2. It's a very busy week for you so I'm glad you got that nap. The temperature's going to drop about 30 degrees after this week so I need to finish up the outdoor work this week. We chose the same Kindle first book. Now I just have to find time to read one of them.

Anne - Books of My Heart This is my Sunday Post
