--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: I've been busy playing catch up on all things house and blog related now that Baby Boone is here. And my birthday (that I share with my oldest brother; we're 10 yrs and 6 minutes apart) was yesterday. No, I'm not sayin' how old I am. lol I did get 3 bottles of my favorite wine, a Deadpool Pop! bobblehead, a set of Marvel mini Pop! bobbleheads and a set of 6 mesh tea balls I've had my eye on. Plus, some cash from mom and dad that I think I'll turn into an Amazon card and get some Buffy graphic novels. :D Add in some reading, Chinese take out for dinner and a cake and my day was complete. Ahhhhh! Back to the daily grind. Well, until Mother's Day. :)

Touching Nature: Hot, cold, in-between. Mother Nature is all over the damn place. In any case, I did nothing outside.

Book News: I'm doing pretty good on my yearly challenge. I do have 6 reviews to write, but I'll get those done tomorrow. I've scheduled half of April and I'm working on the rest. Not too shabby.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Not a single thing.

At the Flicks: Nope. But Batman v Superman is coming up.

Cyberspace Playground: These guys crack me up. Though sometimes their videos are really bloody. lol This one isn't too bad.

Randomness: Yes. Exactly.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  6. Happy birthday and yay for Baby Boone! I'm sure the catch up is crazy. Wine and Chinese food sounds like a pretty good way to celebrate your birthday. I so want to start watching Supernatural! I keep meaning to but there's so many shows I'm already watching that it just doesn't seem to happen. Have a great week!

  7. Happy birthday and congratulations on baby Boone! You have had a busy and exciting week. I have to get those Marvel mini Pop bobbleheads. I’m running out of space so the size sounds perfect. I hope you have a great week!

  8. Sounds like you had an awesome birthday with the food and great presents. And I am glad to hear the baby is finally there.

The temps seem to fluctuate a lot here too, we had some nice sunny days and some colder ones and now it's cloudy outside.

Oh I see you're reading The Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum in your currently reading list att he bottom of the page, I really enjoyed that one, how are you liking it so far?

Enjoy your new books and have a great week!

  9. I am so glad you had a awesome birthday! Your family did great on the gifts :) Save those wine bottles we have a 24 hour read-a-thon in April you need to keep me awake. I also think you need to do it with me, since your awake anyway.

Mother Nature is having serious issues, she needs to sort that shit out and quick.

Have a great week Carol! Happy Reading! ox

  11. Happy Birthday! Hope you enjoy the wine, and the graphic novels you're looking to get. :)

Our weather goes from 60s one day, and then the next it's in the late 20s. I am so sick of the fluctuations and wish Mother Nature could decide whether it wants to be spring, or still winter.

I hope you have a fantastic week and enjoy your new books! I think I need to go make some time for a few episodes of Supernatural... :)

  13. Happy Happy Birthday! What great gifts! It is basically freezing here in the mornings and very cold until about 11 AM and then it warms up to 80s. It's driving me crazy - so hard to dress appropriately.
