WoWwA ~ The Raven

Where audiobooks are used as an enticing reward for getting on the dreadmill.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

*Book source ~ Free on the internet

Narrator ~ Christopher Walken
Publisher ~ Mercury

Genre ~ Audio | Classics | Poetry | Horror
Length ~ 8 minutes 20 seconds

My Rating ~ 4 bites and a nibble

Edgar Allan Poe’s celebrated poem available and narrated by Christopher Walken.

It’s Edgar Allan Poe and Christopher Walken. How bad can it be? As it turns out, not bad at all. There were a few times the background noise was distracting (the guitars for instance), but overall this was wonderful.

There is a CD available on Amazon by third-party sellers that has this one and many other EAP poems read by a variety of artists.

  1. I have to agree with your statement, you can't go wrong with Edgar Allan Poe and Christopher Walken. I didn't know this existed. I will be looking this up now. I do really dislike when audiobooks add in outside sounds. Just let the narrator narrate. Grrr.

    1. Some of the sounds added spookiness to it, but the guitars were a bit much.
