Hello and Happy Sunday!
Touching Nature: Weather has been very nice so when we weren't toddler wrangling we were working outside. I'm exhausted!
Book News: Nope. Not a thing. I'm behind in books read, returning comments and visiting. But with luck this coming week will be calm. :)
Don't Touch That Dial!: Nope. Nothing. Well, ok, I did sit with my son while he watched the Tarheels play (college basketball for those who know not), but I was more or less just hanging out and relaxing. lol
At the Flicks: Ditto this.
Cyberspace Playground: And this.
Randomness: My 16-yr-old posted this on Facebook and it took me a second, but when I got it I LOL'd. And I just LOL'd again when I went to find it. :D
On the Home Front: Grandbaby Nathaniel Boone has arrived!!
March 8th at 1:22pm. 7 lbs 8 oz. and 20"
Got the call at 5:30am Tuesday morning that April was in labor. I jumped into my clothes and went to pick up Kyleigh. We kept her busy and occupied until the evening when we could take her to the hospital to her parents and see her new brother. Hubby took the day off and Trip (16) went a partial day at school so he could help watch Kyleigh. He loves being an uncle. :) Kyle (15) is indifferent (probably until they can play video games lol), but Anna (18) enjoys being an aunt even though she left for the beach (it's her Spring Break) before Boone was born. lol Good thing they enjoy looking after Kyleigh because it looks like we may be watching the grandbabies full time when April finds employment and I'll need all the help I can get. :D I'll know more in about 6 weeks.

Yay Baby Boone finally arrived! Will he be nicknamed Nat or Nate do you think?
ReplyDeleteYou'll certainly have your hands full with his big sister who looks very cute in that pic with baby bro!
Boone is his middle name so that's what they are calling him. :) My 16-yr-old's name is Ralph III, so we call him Trip to avoid confusion between the 3 generations. lol
DeleteI will indeed. It'll be interesting for sure. :D
Your new Grandchild is so cute! Also I did not realise there was a new cover for The Hunt for Snow! It's been ages since I read it! Have a great week and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteLaura @ http://a-reader-lives-a-thousand-lives.blogspot.co.uk
He's a cutie! :) I hope to get some reading done now that the big excitement is over. lol
DeleteYAY!!!! How fun you might be watching those two cuties! My mom watched my kids and it was the best for them. The got the same love that I would give them and they are so close to my parents it makes me ridiculously happy. Even the dog cries when she comes over.
ReplyDeleteYou had a busy week so I'm not surprised that you didn't get a chance to read much but YAY BABY BOONE! I was starting to have anxiety waiting for that kid! ;)
Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! ox
I told hubby we're going backwards. We just got everyone into their teens and pretty much self-reliant and now...lol
DeleteYou and me both! The wait was killing me. :D
Thanks! I hope to have happy reading. :)
Congrats on Baby Boone! Enjoy....and if you can tear yourself away, enjoy your books.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
Thank you and I'm trying. :)
DeleteHey congratulations! The long wait is over... cute pics! You're going to have fun now... :)
ReplyDeleteVampire Empir looks good, I like that cover.
I know, right?! lol
DeleteI read Vampire Empire: the Greyfriar back in 2011, but now that the trilogy is complete and I saw it was narrated by James Marsters, well, I had to have the audio. :)
That Red Mountain looks creepy good. And I got the comic. Oops, red! LOL Congratulations on the little one. My great niece arrived on Wednesday!

Yay! Baby Boone! He is so cute! :) Sounds like you might be getting busy there with the little ones if momma goes back to work. :) Better get in your reading now....lol.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

My husband asked me how I'm going to get all my stuff done with the little ones here and I said I'd just have to cut back on the blog. It's the only thing that's really flexible and it does take up a lot of my time. But we'll see how it goes. :)
DeleteBaby Boone! I always love seeing baby photos. They're so little and cute. Good luck with that toddler wrangling!
ReplyDeleteBaby photos are awesome. :D Thanks! I'm gonna need all the luck and energy I can get. lol
