Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: Holy shit! Thanksgiving is this week!
I have nearly everything I need, but I'll have to go grocery shopping on Weds. Normally, Thurs would be grocery day, but nope. That ain't happenin'. And I sure as shit am not going out on Black Friday. Nope, nope, nope. We will go out Friday evening to get our tree, but most of the crowds are usually dispersed by then.
Touching Nature: Nice during the day (upper 50s/low 60s) and chilly (3os/40s) at night. In other words, typical Fall weather in NC. It was very windy yesterday, knocking a megafuckton of leaves down. I need to make a loaf of banana bread and see if I can borrow hubby's co-worker's backpack blower again in exchange.
Book News: I'm 4.75 books away from actually completing a NetGalley November. Woot! When I started the month my NetGalley % was 55. I'm at 63% now. Still have quite a ways to go to get to 80% and it won't be this month, but I'll get to it eventually.
Don't Touch That Dial!: Trip and I are almost finished with Daredevil. I have to admit, I'm not really liking Murdock/Daredevil at the moment. He's being an asshole. Plus, I do not like Elektra. The end. I think we'll be watching The Defenders next and then The Punisher. At some point we'll start at the beginning of Arrow and then there's Flash. Shit, there's a lot of comic book-related shows out there.
At the Flicks: Not yet, but possibly next weekend will be Justice League.
Cyberspace Playground: Nothing.
Randomness: Just because he's so adorable as Lucifer.
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: The normal household chores I always did on Sunday (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, litterboxes, etc), I started doing on Saturday. It's so nice to have everything done so I can relax on Sunday now. Or, if I feel the urge to bake, I can do it without interrupting to do those crappy chores. But mostly I just play on the internet or read while watching football.

Sounds like you've had a great week. I wish I could say I was all ready for Thanksgiving but I'm not even close. I still have a lot of shopping and planning to do. I hope you enjoy all your new books. Have a great week and happy Holidays!!!!
ReplyDeleteLucifer is well, yes. lol... He's certainly nice to look at. Moving on. I will be doing my shopping on Monday, I not going anywhere near a Walmart after that. It will be crazy. Have a wonderful holiday.

Didn't Thanksgiving get here quick?! Geesh! But I'm so ready for all the good food and gratitude. And getting a little break is great too. Hopefully between eating and sleeping, I'll catch up on all my reading! Happy Thanksgiving!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited about Thanksgiving and getting our decorations up on the Friday! I refuse to go out on Black Friday. I might shop on-line that night because sometimes they have sales.
ReplyDeleteMy husband loves Lucifer, I only wonder in once in a while to see him. :) He has the best smile.
I hope you have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! :)
I’m not going out on Black Friday, either. That’s for crazy people. Happy Thanksgiving! Have a great week!

I am SO excited to pick up our Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow. I am sad Marie Callendar's stores have shut down (so delicious) so we'll see what our next best choice is like. Our weather has turned cool again. We got a cold front two nights ago. Congrats on your NetGalley! I am working on mine too....at a much slower progression rate. I can't wait til I'm at 55%!
