Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: Another busy week. Run, run, run. Should be slowing down in the next week or so. I hope. Cross your fingers for me.
Mr Puggles had a dental appt Friday to clean his teeth, remove 2 small teeth that were broken, and to remove some gum that was growing over a tooth. They did so and though they believe it's benign they sent it off for testing just to be safe. Artemis was diagnosed with glaucoma in one of her eyes while we were in Ohio and I couldn't get her started on drops until we got back, so she goes in for a check on Tuesday to see if the drops are working to bring the eye pressure down.
I've started my online Christmas shopping. Will need to go out in the next week or maybe the week after to do the in store stuff.
We've watched some Christmas movies, so a nice start. All decorations are up now, too. Ok, not the ornaments on the tree, but we should get that done today. The grandkiddos put theirs up. I'll need to get them their own tabletop tree (or similar) since they enjoyed it. And some more ornaments. They only have a few.
The grandkiddos spent the night Friday (we took them to Sheetz for the employee Christmas party) so I'm going to do my usual Saturday cleaning (which I did not do last Sat. because we spent the day unloading the Uhaul and arranging shit) today. Plus, my 1st weekend of the month cleaning, too. It rained Friday and Saturday so inside stuff is the way to go anyway.
I bought a shitton of audios during the Cyber sale. See below. Couldn't pass up a good deal now could I? That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
I'm hoping as things settle down I will have more time to read, but it may be January before I get back into the swing of it. Which is ok. This year has been shit anyway. I'm looking forward to leaving it behind and moving into 2024.
Touching Nature: I engaged in and was victorious in Battle VII of Leafageddon last Sunday. I will probably have to deal with a minor skirmish later this week after everything dries out, but I think Leafageddon 2023 is officially over.
Book News: I have made no progress here as I try to catch up on things around the house. Hopefully soon.
Don't Touch That Dial!: We watched Scrooged, Die Hard, Elf, Frosty the Snowman, and The Grinch. The two animated ones we watched at the Sheetz Christmas party where we took the grandkids. lol
At the Flicks: Nope
Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Word Lots, Solitaire, jigsaw puzzles
Randomness: Yes, yes we do.
Randomness: Yes, yes we do.
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: It's dark out way too much this time of year. Surround yourself with things that make you happy and before you know it Spring will be here.
That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

I also grabbed a bunch of deals at Audible. My front yard is finished but I have lots of leaves waiting for me in the backyard. I have done nothing on holiday decorating. I hope this week is a good one for you!

I'm very much a fan of book forts. I think they should be mandatory. I'm doing the holiday decorating in the next few days and am so looking forward to it. Congrats on winning Leafageddon. I love trees but there is definitely a downside.
