Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front:
- Sunday - Got the tree cut down to a manageable height for the ceiling then the kids decorated it.
- Monday - Got some indoor decorations done. Took Sugarcube to the vet for a couple of infected claws. Antibiotics and special wipes to clean them.
- Tuesday - Went to BJ's for some groceries. Hit up the pet store and the ABC store (that's what NC calls their booze stores) as well as the car wash. Walmart order that said delayed for 2 hrs never was ready by 4pm so I canceled it. Finished up the decorations. Yay!
- Wednesday - Rained so didn't go grocery shopping. I honestly forget what I did all day. Probably just catching up on shit.
- Thursday - Went to Walmart to shop in the store. I hate shopping. Then went to Kohl's for more shopping and to return some pants that didn't fit mom. Did more catching up. Was last Thursday really Thanksgiving?!
- Friday - Forgot I had the alarm set for 3:30am from last week's trip home. Ugh. Interrupted sleep sucks. Picked up refill for Sugarcube, sent out a package to mom, and did a BJ's pick up since I forgot to get hubby's coffee pods and I needed some eggs. That's the first time I tried their pick up and it was pretty easy and ready ahead of time. Nice! Started the monthly cleaning and the usual weekend cleaning. Got all but the kitchen done. Then went out for Leafageddon: The Final Battle which I finished in the dark. lol
- Saturday - Finished the cleaning which was the kitchen (usual weekly) and the dishwasher (monthly). For a machine that cleans shit it sure gets disgusting even if I rinse stuff off. Gross. Cut hubby's hair. Worked on the blog and went through my emails.
- Today - Will probably sit around all day. I'm tired.
Mom's week: Mom was having a good week then picked up some kind of crud. Sweet fuck, that place is a petri dish. She's coughing, sneezing, and short of breath. As of today (Saturday), she and my brother are keeping an eye on her O2 saturation. Could be pneumonia, bronchitis or any one of the other million respiratory viruses out there. She said she feels absolutely and completely horrible. And is discouraged because she was finally cruising along with her exercises and such and now she's laid up yet again.
In other news: November 21st, 2021 was the first day of my last period. Despite my uterus trying to put up a final, weak, last ditch Hail Mary earlier in November with some light spotting, I am now officially in post-menopause. Ha! No more periods, but I now have to put up with stray chin and lip hairs. Which is why I have a little buzz buzz shaver. lol
Touching Nature: Some rain here and there. I also engaged in Leafageddon: The Final Battle. The oak trees finally evicted their Leafy Menace and the War is finally won. I went out and battled yesterday before the rain moved in.
Book News: I wrote two reviews. Go me! I have read nothing and I'm sad.
Don't Touch That Dial!: Some Hurricanes. We're also now into season 5 of Bones.
At the Flicks: Nope
Cyberspace Playground: Still Wordle and Zen Match
Randomness:
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: You will never be caught up with all the things you need to be caught up with. So enjoy yourself.

You did have a busy week! I go the low down on all the curbside during COVID so I almost always do them including BJs. I did the final mowing around Thanksgiving but I have another leaf battle. The tree in front is finally bare but the ones in back still have some leaves. I can't believe it's December. The holiday stuff is waiting until my daughter's finals are finished.

Walmart has been horrible so we're back to shopping in store. I hate it.
DeleteI hope your mom feels better soon! I had to do the leaf battle last week too. The pear tree dropped its leaves and its remaining pears. We had to get those cleaned up before they get squidgy all over the sidewalk.
ReplyDeleteThank you! Oh, yeah, they do leave a mess. Eek I may have to do one final sweep of the driveway. It's been rainy all week though. Yuck
