Al Quinn turns down a musician friend’s request to stay at Al’s home, which is now filled with his recent bride, Fergie, his brother’s, wife and child, and a dog. Al’s refusal has consequences that lead to the musician being murdered.
The trail to make things right takes Al and his family down to the Texas coast, where they face their most dangerous mission. The small Gulf town of Port Dexter is as prickly as the cactus-filled countryside. Every law enforcement officer appears to be corrupt, and an elite killer team is loose in the area. Even worse, they are all out to erase Al and his entire family.

Al Quinn’s decision to turn away a musician friend who needed a place to stay for a bit has consequences he didn’t foresee. Now he and his new bride Fergie as well as the rest of his merry band (brother, sis-in-law, nephew, and dog) are on the run while they figure out what the hell is going on.
Woo doggie! This is one hairy ride! I always love to read about Al Quinn and the motley crew he has accumulated over the course of the books. Al, Fergie, and gang may be older but they can still kick ass. But boy do they get themselves in some very sticky situations. Eeek! I love the writing, the world, the characters, and the plot. When I pick up an Al Quinn book, I know I’ll be sucked into a world full of danger, action, mystery, humor, and heart adn this book is chock full of them all. Especially the danger. I wonder what Al will get into next? I can’t wait to find out!
