Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: Well, Trip and I didn't get anything done outside this week, but the coming week looks promising. Instead we did a Spring Clean of the living room on Tuesday (Monday Eevee had a check up at the vet in the morning so I did blog stuff after) and a little rearranging of the furniture. I'm not sure if I like it. We'll see.

Wednesday I cleaned the kids' bathroom because it was utterly disgusting. They are supposed to take turns cleaning it (there's a schedule), but they've obviously been slacking. I rarely need to use it because I have my own bathroom, but I went in there and was like...wtf. So I cleaned it and told them if it gets like that again, and I have to clean it, it's going to cost them each $100. Just to be clear, when I say "my kids" they are all adults; a daughter and two sons. There is no excuse for it to get like that. They are 24, 22, & 21, ffs.

Thursday was grocery pick up and all of the putting away of said groceries. Friday I started cleaning my desk (it was getting really bad...again) and made decent progress when hubby and Kyle came home from work at noon. They wanted to surprise me by taking a half day - to get an early start on their 3-day weekend. I was surprised alright. LOL So, hubby and I went out to lunch at Chili's and then hubby and Trip picked up the grandkiddos for a sleep over.

Saturday the ankle biters went home around 1:00 and I usually do my Saturday cleaning but it was kinda late to get started so I'll do it today.

In news from Ohio, Anna has been helping mom outside around the farm and driving mom to her appointments and shopping.  My one brother and his wife live next door and he's managed to finally sell all of the misc equipment and various crap that's been sitting in the big barn. He was really on a roll this week. It's all gone! Just in time, too. Mom's 85th birthday is today and since she doesn't drive anymore and she's not as steady on her feet, she's been looking for a golf cart to tool around the farm and next door to my brother's or the neighbor just across the way. So, my brother made enough to get her a really nice 1998 golf cart he found online and she didn't have to pay much out of pocket for it. Sa-weet! Who knew golf carts really hold their value? I didn't. She, Anna, and Mr. Puggles have been cruising around in it the last few days. lol Also, Anna thinks she had a ghost encounter in the house. It's possible. Mom has been reporting some weird shit going on. Then again, the house was built in 1850, so it could just be an old house doing old house things.  But we're leaning towards ghosts. lol

Touching Nature: It rained off and on all week so no touching was done. Well, other than the daily feeding of my critters. I have squirrels, lots of different birds, deer, and a wild turkey. There may also be a raccoon and possum and I saw a stray cat one day.

Book News: Nothing to report here.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Still watching Without A Trace. Are we ever going to get done? We're finally in season 7. Just need to decide what's next. Probably continue our Star Wars rewatch. We're on Return of the Jedi. As far as shows go, we really need to finish Supernatural. We made it to season 11. I want to start all over since it's been a couple of years since we watched and hubby doesn't want to. So I may start my own rewatch after I finish my Criminal Minds binge.

At the Flicks: Nope.

Cyberspace Playground: Wordle and Zen Match

Randomness:   Wut? How? Wut?

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: I thought of a really great nugget when I was in the laundry room one day this week, but of course I don't remember it now. lmao
That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. Last week was cooler so I tried to do my outdoor stuff then. This week will be 90s and I'm going out less. But it will be nice without rain. I'm going to water a bit around dinnertime. I live in a golf course community and everyone is running around in carts. I don't golf or like golf but it's a nice neighborhood.

    1. I hate this heat. Ugh. But if I do the stuff outside in the morning then it's not as bad. At least golf carts are quiet, right? Mom's runs on a battery as I'm sure most do.
