Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: What the hell did I do all week? I had to check my Facebook statuses to see. LOL I did the Saturday cleaning and Sunday Post on Monday because we worked on the shed all last weekend. Tuesday I went to Lowe's to get shingles, drip edge, and roofing nails for the shed. We put up the drip edge Weds after hubby got home from work and we were short about 3.5 ft. I swear to the Book Gods, I'm giving the directions for this shed an F. As in Fuck them! So Thursday, when Trip and I did the grocery pick up, I swung by Lowe's and bought another 10' piece. For Fucks Sake. Friday, Trip and I worked outside in the morning. Saturday Kyle had to be at work at 5:00am so hubby dropped him off, I did some blog stuff, then we started shingling the shed. We broke at 10:30 so he could go get Kyle then we continued until we were done, with only one break at 4:00 for a snack. I hate shingling. I hate shingling this shed even more. Ugh. Anyway, that's my week. And for some reason I'm sore all over today. I can understand my feet being sore. I was the one going up and down the ladder with shingles while my hubby was on the roof. But man, my shoulders, biceps, and my lower back just ache. So, it's an ibuprofen day. :D

Touching Nature: Hot and yucky. We finished shingling the shed so it is now secure against the wet stuff. We hope. We need to get creative about the window which Lowe's totally fucked us on. I mentioned that before, right? But we're nearly finished and I can't wait to move all my gardening equipment in! Also, Trip and I tamed the feral greenery Friday. Ugh.

Book News: I have nothing to report here. I am SO far behind on everything. *heavy sigh*

Don't Touch That Dial!: I forgot how much I love Medium. And it's been so long since we watched that many of the episodes I don't even really remember. lol

At the Flicks: Nope

Cyberspace Playground: Nope

Randomness:  Hard Pass

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: When things don't go as planned there's always wine.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. Wow you did a big job this week. I learned all about shingles and drip edge this week as well as starter strips, underlayment and ridge vents, as I try to pick a roofer for the house. No I am not doing anything myself.

    1. Sheds are one thing, but I would not ever want to do the house. I'd hire someone for that. Eeek. We had a roofer do our skylights and our gutters. They did a good job. 911 Roofs if you want to get an estimate from them. I actually used Home Advisor and I had several people call me for free estimates both for the skylights and the gutters.

  2. Ugh sounds like so much work! But yay for getting it done - it'll be great that you have a place for your supplies. I'm not surprised you're sore if you were carrying the shingles up and down the ladder that's using core muscles and even if they're light weight the repeated motion over the hours I'm sure it was... That's a solid workout!
