Hello and Happy Sunday Monday!
On the Home Front: I'm a day late again. We worked on the shed all weekend. Again. So here I am on Monday morning writing this post up. I was busy with various bullshit all week then the shed all weekend. That's all I have. I feel so behind on everything.
On the Home Front: I'm a day late again. We worked on the shed all weekend. Again. So here I am on Monday morning writing this post up. I was busy with various bullshit all week then the shed all weekend. That's all I have. I feel so behind on everything.
On Saturday we built the workbench, shelves, and pegboard as well as installed the rafters. Then we threw a tarp over it because the rain hit. Yesterday morning, the boys helped us with the roof panels, so that went much faster than it would have. Then hubby and I did the doors. Lowe's completely screwed us on the window though and now we have to rig up some supports to nail the frame into because they way it is now? Yeah, that shit is NOT going to work. Fuckers. It will not be getting a good review. And we'll never buy another pre-cut building again. We'll go back to doing it freehand. It may take a ton longer but at least we'll pick out our own premo wood and it'll be correctly configured. Probably. lol Anyway, we have some door trim to install and the hasp, then the window frame to fix and then install. After that is caulk, shingles, drip edge, paint, and landscape. Also, I intend to lay some linoleum inside for easier cleaning. Just need to pick some out.
It fucking poured while we were inside attaching some door hardware. It's raining now. If it ever quits raining we should have it finished this coming weekend. Except for the paint and landscaping. Those will have to wait a bit. I just want the caulk done and shingles on so it's completely waterproof. I really wanted to go out today, open the doors and turn a couple fans on to dry it out, but I'll have to wait for Ma Nature to quit pissing all over us.
Touching Nature: Hot, hot, hot. Rain the last 6 days, always in the afternoon (except today, it's raining right now). Not much cooling down with it, just mostly makes it more humid and disgusting outside.
Book News: I finished 1 book and now I have 4 reviews to write. I also want to have posts every day this week to highlight self-published authors, but I've been busy and didn't get any drafted. So, I'm behind on everything. I loathe that feeling.
Don't Touch That Dial!: We finished the A-Team and decided to move on to Medium. We'll get back to Star Wars: The Clone Wars when we finish.
At the Flicks: Nope
Cyberspace Playground: Nope
Randomness:
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: I had a picture of this, but I can't seem to get it to load. Anyway, when we are working on projects I keep my pencil in my ponytail. Whenever hubby asks, "You have your pencil?" it's like, duh. It's been here for nearly every project for over 10 yrs. In fact, it's the same pencil! Almost too small now- it's only about 3" long lol. And I lost it briefly yesterday when it fell out of my ponytail while we were doing the roof panels. I walked all around the outside of the shed calling for my pencil, worried about it lost out there in the wild. Then I found it! It was under a fern in the woods on the backside of the shed. Good thing it's red.
That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.
