--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: Last week I thought I was done with the spare room/Anna's room renovation.

Operation Room Project Part II commenced this Friday. We ended up taking apart Anna's loft bed, then taking apart the new bed set up in the spare room and moving it to her room because she didn't care for the set up in the spare room. Then we moved every single piece of furniture in her room. While we had everything moved away from the walls we wiped them down. So, we cleaned and moved shit. Lots of it. She's still putting things away but my part is mostly done. Just need ot help her hang a few posters, pictures, bulletin board, and mount her power strip. The boys helped by toting and carrying things out to the shed for me, namely the heavyass loft bed. Even though it was in 3 pieces it was yikes. The shed is going to need to be sorted through. Again. And I still need to tidy the spare room. But I was able to get all of the crap we moved out of the spare room and to the dining room area, with barely a walkway, sorted and I have room to breathe again. Having the house in chaos has really been bugging the shit out of me, to the point it was messing with my sleep. I can accept a certain amount of clutter, but this was ridiculous. Anyway, things are tidying up around here. So, of course, I decided to start moving things around in the kitchen. I pulled all the tupperware out and Holy Shit! I have more than I realized. I managed to switch out the cookware but then ran out of steam. I'll need to sort out what I want to keep as far as the tupperware goes. I've been slowly switching to glass anyway, so it's a matter of the type of tupperware I'll want to keep. I'll need to work on that today then I want to start wrapping presents.

In other news, I'll be glad when this year is over.

Touching Nature: Ma Nature tried to give us some freezing rain, but it was mostly rain. Hovered around freezing though so that rain was fucking cold! Otherwise it's been a bit chilly.

Book News: My book obligations for the year are done. I'm going to binge now. Assuming I'm finally done with this big ass home project.

Don't Touch That Dial!: For our Christmas movie watch we watched Gremlins, Die Hard 2, Lethal Weapon and Elf. We got through most of Gremlins and Lethal Weapon before the discs kept fucking up. We thought maybe our DVD player was starting to take a shit, but then Die Hard 2 and Elf played ok, so I guess I need to replace the others. Anyway, we're counting them as watched. So there.

At the Flicks: Nope

Cyberspace Playground: Nope

Randomness:  Truth

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Ibuprofen. Lots of ibuprofen. Don't forget to take it when you are exerting yourself more than usual.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. Your house is like the projects that never end! I tend to just ignore them all in my house lol.

You got the rain and passed us the snow but it has been really cold the last couple of days. I am kind of happy about it. lol

That is my favorite random because I always say that.

Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading and Merry Christmas!!! xx

  2. Well I'm glad you got further on the projects. I still have clutter to sort from moving last summer but gradually we get things organized. You can start by matching the tupperware to the lids and if there isn't a lid it goes. lol. I wish you a Merry Christmad and Happy New Year, Carol!

  3. Wow, it sounds like you’ve been busy. We’ve slowly been switching to glass Tupperware too. It doesn’t stain or get scratched like the plastic stuff. Have a great week!

  4. I’m glad the big project is practically done. I need to sort through my kitchen cupboards soon so I can give my daughter the basics for university next year. She will be in a self catering shared apartment on campus.

I take iboprufen like candy to be honest ;)

Wishing you a great reading week, and a merry Christmas 🎄

  5. I am glad the year is almost over too. I am switching to glassware too. Most of my cookware are now stainless steel or cast iron. But I still keep finding lidless tupperware everywhere. Stay safe and merry Christmas.
