--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

 Goodbye October, Hello November!
Wait...it's November already?!

On the Home Front: First up, hubby and I had our 23rd anniversary yesterday. We did not do anything special. We had the grandkiddos over Friday night (hubby took a vacation day-well, night since he works 2nd shift) so they were around until the afternoon then hubby and I finished installing the clothes rods in our closet. The project is nearly complete.
Two rods done. I have two more done but don't have a pic.

I'm not really sure why I said "first up" because that's about it for my week. I've battled the leafy menace, did some grocery shopping, worked on the closet, and had the grandkiddos finishing out with Halloween and our anniversary.

Touching Nature: Tropical Storm Zeta zipped through here and tore most of the leaves from the poplar, beech, and a few other trees and made a big ol' mess on our property. We got a bit of rain and had a tornado warning Thursday night, but that's about it. Power did go out Thursday morning, but only for about 15 minutes. We had 80s on Weds and Thurs and it has now dropped back into Fall appropriate temperatures. I have twice had to battle the leafy menace this week, so Battles IV and V have been won. There are many sticks that need to be evicted, but the boys can do that this week.

Book News: I completely forgot to mention my 9 year Blogoversary was in October and now it's November 1st. Oops. lol I have only 1 review to write but it's a joint review with Bea from Bea's Book Nook that we'll do in December so I have time.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Perry Mason and Forged in Fire. We had the grandkiddos overnight Friday into Saturday so we'll watch The Mandalorian today.

  1. Happy Anniversary!!! Quiet Anniversaries are my favorite. Love the closet, you both did an awesome job!

    1. I'm not one for much celebrating. We would probably have gone to Texas Roadhouse for dinner, but are trying not to go out due to Trump's fucked up handling of the worldwide pandemic.

We're a bit cooler here, too. Had to kick on the heat to take off the chill in the house.

Thank you! I hope you also have a great week! XOXO

  4. Happy anniversary! It's nice to get that closet project tackled. I have been planting perennials so the leafy menace has been free to roam so far. I have a plan but need to get started soon. Stay well!

  5. Zeta tore through here too. But since my trees were already down from Sally, it didn't do much damage here. Happy Anniversary!
