Lacey Fitzpatrick and Sam Firecloud aren’t just a married couple working their jobs, paying taxes, and raising Sam’s kids. They are a paranormal busting team. Ok, not sure how much “busting” it is, but they do release spirits who are trapped on the Earthly plane. Many of their jobs require Sam to walk the site and get his impressions from the ghost or ghosts, so Lacey can take any details he gets and dive into the research of said ghost(s). The best way to release them is to know their story and lacey is hella good at the research part while Sam is a ghost whisperer.

This time, it’s Sam’s 11-yr-old daughter Kenzie who is releasing spirits. When Lacey does stepmom duty, taking Kenzie to the dentist, they witness an accident on their way home. A school bus with 22 young children crashes right in front of them and 15 of them and the driver died. When two of the kids won’t move on, Sam and Lacey decide to let Kenzie do the release. But first they have to figure out what’s keeping them tied to Earth. While I love the investigation part and I love when Sam or his kids commune with the ghosts I always end up crying at the release. Their stories are usually so sad. This story is no different. The things you learn about people when you do a little digging. Yowzers.
