--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: Not a whole lot going on. Had the grandkiddos on Weds for an overnight. Need to get some things done this week. Just some necessary evils, like getting the truck inspected so we can get the new sticker. Hard to believe it's August already. Good grief, this year is going by fast and yet so slow.

Touching Nature: Hot, hot, hot. Hasn't really changed much. We've had some thunderboomers but it didn't cool anything down. We might have a tropical storm/hurricane heading this way but it'll probably just be some rain. And maybe cooler temps. I mowed on Weds and I didn't die.

Book News: Um, I have some reviews for this week that I haven't even written yet. I better get on those. Also, I may have 17 reviews to write. Oops.

Don't Touch That Dial!: I finished Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 3. Good riddance Mayor and Faith is in a coma. YAY! Also, hockey is back! Yay! Let's Go, Canes! Oh, yeah. Also watched some Cleveland Indians baseball.

At the Flicks:  Nope

Cyberspace Playground: Nope

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: I fucking loathe racists. I loathe the All Lives Matter assholes, too. And the fuckers who think there is no such thing as white privilege and police brutality isn't a thing. Fuck them all. That's it. That's the nugget.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. *high five* (for your wisdom) LOVE IT!
This year is very fast but slow and super annoying. 2021 better be a better year or I'm jumping on the next flying saucer and I am leaving.

I'm jealous of your 17 reviews but also glad its you and not me. lol

Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! xx

  3. I hope we don't get too much hurricane storms but I will appreciate if it drops into the 80s. When it's this hot I only mow every 1.5 weeks. We got enough little thundershowers it's growing pretty well though. Good luck on all those reviews.

  4. That’s one of the reasons why I stopped writing detailed reviews. They piled up so quickly that I got freaked out and discouraged. I love your wisdom. Have a great week!

  5. Love that nugget of wisdom!

I had stopped reviewing because I felt like I was always behind. I have recently restarted but I am thinking about just reviewing what I feel like reviewing rather than feeling like I have to!

    Have a good week.

  6. I’m with you on that nugget.
I have a few reviews to write too.

Wishing you a great reading week, and cooler weather

  7. Yep I agree with your wisdom!

I’m for once organised with my reviews but it can very quickly go south and it piles up!

Hope you have a good week!
