Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: So, we may have done a thing this week. Hubby's 98 Ford Ranger (200,000+ miles) needs some work and the 97 Accord (300,000+ miles) appears to be on its last legs so we bought a 2016 Honda CR-V for his primary vehicle. While it is a purty thing, we wanted something reliable with some room, that doesn't kill his knees or back to get out of (in other words, sits up off the ground some), and gets good mileage. So, here it is:
Touching Nature: Some chilly weather, some wind, and a bit of rain, but it looks very much like we're striding into Spring. Time to get the seeds started.
Book News: Book binge! I read 9 books in 3 days. Oops. I have 11 reviews to write at some point though 1 needs done by April 2nd.
Don't Touch That Dial!: Some Supernatural and some Star Wars: Rebels. Also been watching the Hurricanes stink it up, but they finally beat the Islanders yesterday. Woot!
At the Flicks: Nothing
Cyberspace Playground: Nothing
Randomness:
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: You should really be washing your hands all the time, not just when there's a pandemic. Seriously. No, really. WTF

Apparently 2020 is the year we spend big bucks because I'm also shopping around for a fridge and an upright freezer so I can get rid of the kitchen fridge, the laundryroom fridge and the small chest freezer. All are 20+ years old. I'm hoping the electric bill will go down some more as it did with the new dryer. *fingers crossed*
Had the grandkiddos for an overnight Friday. Today is Boone's 4th birthday. Where does the time go?!

The car looks very spiffy - ideal if you don't like being scrunched up behind the wheel anymore. Last time around, we also bought a larger car so we could drive about growing grandchildren - and are very glad we did, as the eldest is now nearly 5'10". Have a great week:)
ReplyDeleteHey the new car seems kickass!!! That's also good to have some great news here ;-)
ReplyDeleteMy mom had a CRV and now it is with my niece. Yay for binge reading! Most of my appliances are new with the new house but my freezer is 27 years old and so it may need replacing one of these days. That Randomness is the god's honest truth. AT work, I used to do the worst thing right away in the morning so it was over and I could just get on with the rest of my day.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely week and enjoy some more reading!
Anne - Books of My Heart Here is my Sunday Post
Congratulations on the new car!
ReplyDeleteThat was quite a book binge! Wowza.
ReplyDeleteThe new car looks nice and I understand about needing a car higher off the ground for the sake of your joints.
I'll be back tomorrow to see what you thought of Summon the Keeper. *chews fingernails*
Congrats on the car. We saw our electric bill go down each time we replaced things. Fingers crossed.
