Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: Last month my husband marked 25 years at his place of employment and they sent him this link thing where he could pick his present out of about 30 items or so. I didn't count them, but there were a lot. We could choose from some really cool but impractical things (like a 3D printer) that we would probably use a few times then forget about (not to mention wondering where the hell to put them) and there were things that could be useful (like an iPad, etc), but what we ended up picking was a 16pc knife set forged in Spain. They came Friday and man are they cool! But I'm afraid to use them because they are wicked sharp and since I'm used to my ancient knife set I'll probably cut off a finger. Or two. Eeeeee!
Touching Nature: Not horrible. Had some gusty winds that blew a bunch of crap out of the trees. Did not get the thunderstorms that were predicted which would have been nice to wash the junk off the vehicles. I mowed Saturday. I also went next door and marked the daffodils so I could find them again after they've died back. That's about it.
Book News: Wrote a few reviews, have some more to write. Read a few books, have tons more to read. That's about it. lol
Don't Touch That Dial!: Hurricanes have moved to Round 2! Woot! Watched some Indians and then had a Criminal Minds binge on Thursday.
At the Flicks: Going to see Avengers: Endgame on Wednesday! Must.Avoid.Spoilers!
Cyberspace Playground: Nope
Randomness: Um, no.
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: One of my children said the other day (I won't say which one even though they never read my blog): "I thought it was just a fart. Until it wasn't." Seriously? lol One of the first things I taught them was Rule #1: Never trust a fart.

In other news, Thursday was grocery day. Ugh. At least there was some chocolate Easter sale stuff still available. Other than that, the week was fairly boring. I like boring. Well, except for double overtime Weds night for the Hurricanes. Our Fitbit heart monitors were going crazy. lol

ReplyDeleteThose knives look amazing and I love the wooden block that they come in. I'm sure you'll get used to them.
Yay! I like making people lol. :D
DeleteI'm going to be extra specially careful with them. I like my fingers. lol
I totally laughed out loud to your wisdom because I'm more than positive that my oldest has told me something similar.
ReplyDeleteThose knives look so awesome but I'm really clumsy and I feel like I'd definitely hurt myself trying to use them.
Have a wonderful week and thanks for the laugh!
Tina @ As Told By Tina
I mean, really. It's the FIRST RULE! LOL
DeleteI haven't used them yet. I'm 51, been through a lot, and yet they kinda scare me. lol They are pretty awesome though.
Very nice knife set. I'm like you. I'd be afraid I'd cut myself. LOL The weather was sunny and warm here and I enjoyed a couple of days working in the yard and relaxing. Coil has a great cover. I'll check it out.
ReplyDeleteI've been side-eyeing them. I want to use them so bad, but again, I like my fingers. Baby steps, I guess. lol
DeleteI’ve always wanted a decent knife set, congrats to your hubby.
ReplyDeleteHave a great reading week
I now have 3 knife sets in butcher blocks. One set is like 30+ years old, the other about 21 yrs old. Now, this one is super awesome and super sharp, so I'm incredibly wary of them. LOL
DeleteHow nice to have some great knives! Mine are all getting to be old. The weather has been pretty nice overall. It's going to heat up this week tho. Happy reading!
