Colin Brockhurst, Earl
of Ravenshire, is over 30 and his dad is sick of his shit. He wants his son to
grow up and settle down. No more gaming, women, or partying. So he hits his son
right where he knows it’ll hurt – he’s selling the family estate where Colin’s
mother is buried. Well, that lights a fire under his ass and he does everything
he can to keep that from happening, including trying to negotiate with his
unreasonable pops. Get married? Heaven forbid! But there is no way he wants to
lose Sommerall, so he scrambles for a plan. A plan that keeps evolving once
Lady Angeline Brenham, longtime family friend and sort of nemesis, enters the
arena. She agrees to help Colin with his plan, but neither of them expects the
end results.
A bit different than
your usual historical romance, this delightful read will have you sighing and
grinning as well as wanting to shake these two main characters. Man. Talk about
stubborn blindness. But it all works. Both characters grow and evolve
throughout the book and secondary characters are more than mere props. If you
like historical romances with some humor and heat then don’t pass this one up.
