Hello and Happy Sunday!
Happy Birthday (on the 14th) to George! My eldest spawn is not 32. The math is wrong, that's all there is to it. I hate math.
On the Home Front: O.M.G. Can I just stop adulting now? I did nothing but run, run, run this week and only got done a little over half of what I wanted to get done. Kyle passed the computer test to get his driving permit, but Trip did not. Even though he's 18, he's told me he's not really ready to drive (it's a long story), but I wanted him to at least get his permit so he can practice if he wants. He'll take the test again, but if he fails again I'll just get him a state ID and let the permit go for now. I still have several adulting-type things to do this week, but then that better be it. I can't take all this running around. I'm much happier as a hermit.
Touching Nature: Blistering as Satan's asshole after hot wing night. That is all.
Book News: I had 4 reviews to write but I got them done Friday evening. Yay me! In other book news...there is no other book news.
Don't Touch That Dial!: Trip and I have managed several more episodes of our Star Wars: Clone Wars rewatch.
At the Flicks: Just you wait, Friday...Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Cyberspace Playground: Nada.
Randomness: Image compliments of my eldest spawn who posted it on my FB wall. LOL
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: I had a really awesome nugget to share, but I didn't write it down and now I don't remember what it was. It's driving me nuts! So, write shit down. I'm pretty sure I've said this before, but I'll say it again. You will not remember it later.

Happy Birthday to your oldest!
ReplyDeleteI HATE Adulting, I've had to do that a few times the last few weeks and it's annoying.
Love the cover of Fix! Need to check that one out.
Hope you have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! ox
Aw, good luck to Trip about retaking the test!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your oldest!
ReplyDeleteAdulting is for the birds. I say we quit. But then shit won't get done and I'll be miserable because I'm fairly OCD about things. GRR. I'm stuck.
Boy you can paint a picture! Satan's asshole after hot wing night? Yeah, sounds about right! And try that with a sun allergy that makes you wear long sleeves everywhere. It sucks. I used to love summer. Now I'm not so sure.
Have a great week :)
I have a 16 year old that is no hurry to get his learner permit at all. I remember counting down days till I turned 15 and could get mine. lol.. Your little nugget of wisdom rings soooo true with me. My husband calls me while I'm at the store and asks me to get something and I still forget, and my defense is it wasn't on my grocery list. :) Have wonderful week ahead.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Kyle! And I also failed my first permit test. I still have not passed. Sometimes, you're just not ready. Congrats on the book reviews! I still have two to get done, but at the beginning of the week I had six so I'll consider it progress. :)

I tell all my students that growing up is a scam. Adulting is the worst! My older brother didn't get his drivers license until he was 40. Some people just don't really see the need to have it and its not a priority for them. It worked out just fine for my brother and I am sure it will be fine for your son to.
ReplyDeleteI don't like adulting either. I've got to get on top of taking care of some things. I didn't get my license until I was 22. My brothers didn't get theirs until they were 18. I was scared to drive due to an accident when I was in my teens (and my mom was terrified I'd get wheels and high tail it out). Honestly, my friend letting me drive in a parking lot was better than either of my parents trying to "teach" me anything.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday George!!!

Ah it must be the math, you can't have a kid that old. :) I think I was a bit like your other son as I didn't want to get my license, but my mom finally made me do it at about 18 or so. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy Spiderman Homecoming, I thought it was okay but a bit to much teenage drama...lol. :)
Have a great week!
