Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: Things picked up again this past week. Had some deadlines to manage, but got them done. Trip & I ran around Thursday getting groceries and such then hubby and I ran around Friday and part of Saturday doing errands and checking some things off the dreaded To Do list. I anticipate this coming week being a bit busy with real life shit to get done, but after that I'm hoping we'll settle back down for the foreseeable future.
Touching Nature: It's been HOT and mostly humid. Hubby & I bought 3 bags of bulk gravel (900 lbs each!) at Lowe's on Friday, but the truck can only handle one bag at a time, so we'd bring one home, spread it where we wanted it (and that was inventive let me tell you since we have a cap on our truck and no fork lift to unload it, so by hand it was) then go back for another bag then repeat once more. I was BEAT by the end of the day. I need to mow and get some outside stuff done, so I'm hoping to do that this morning before it gets hot and hope the predicted rain doesn't show.
Book News: I've finished a few more books, but then I stalled again with things getting busy again around the home front. I also have two reviews to write which I hope to do today. After today I'm hoping to get back to visiting. Every time I hope that, something comes up, so I've got my fingers crossed that real life will leave me the fuck alone for once. There are days lately I wonder why I continue to blog, but I keep on carrying on.
Don't Touch That Dial!: I watched nothing this past week. I guess all that previous watching filled me up for awhile.
At the Flicks: Not yet, but Spider-Man: Homecoming is now out. We'll go in two weeks.
Cyberspace Playground: I've been watching a lot of CineFix lately, mostly the Things You Didn't Know videos. Sometimes they're interesting and sometimes they're crap.
Randomness:
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: When a door won't open for you find another way. Pick the lock, pop the pin out of the hinges, remove the doorknob, bust through it or maybe just open a window. Unless you're in a bank vault there's almost always another way. Btw, I'm being metaphorical here, but hey use my ideas in case you're kidnapped or something.

Wow. That's a lot of work. And in the heat and humidity. No wonder you're exhausted. I hope this coming week is quieter for you and you can relax and get in some reading:)
ReplyDeleteMy Sunday Post
Wow! You sure had a busy week! Hope you have a great week!

Oh that random. Didn't you just do the drive last year? Hope you were able to get the lawn cut. I will hope your busy week goes smoothly!
ReplyDeleteI love how you phrase things. "Busy with real life shit to get done" is going to be my new phrase! What was all the gravel for? The Man and his dad did that very same thing last year, too. That did that for one round and then had a truck deliver the rest. I can't imagine how hard and long it took to do all that! I got two reviews written today, and I'm hoping to get at least four done tomorrow. Really, really behind. Happy writing and reading!
ReplyDeleteWow, that sounded like a lot of hard work. You deserve a break, so hope you get one. :)
ReplyDeleteThat star wars meme!!!! Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteJust reading about the gravel and yard work made me tired. Ugh! And in that heat!? Hopefully you spent a lot of time resting and rehydrating after that.
