AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: Anna's birthday party on Sunday was awesome. Her boyfriend did a great job and she was totally surprised. :) Hubby had a great birthday on Tuesday. We have been mainlining Netflix and the couch is getting quite the workout this week. I have also gained 7 lbs. When I'm home by myself (he at work, kids at school) the majority of the week I tend to forget to eat. But since he's been home all week my days are suspiciously like a Hobbit's.
Touching Nature: Yesterday I mowed, tidied up the firepit & set up the wood for a bonfire and watered the garden. After breakfast for dinner we had a bonfire complete with s'mores. That was plenty of touching for one week.
Book News: I got nothing. I did mention hubby's been home all week, right? I am currently 28 books behind schedule.
Don't Touch That Dial!: Omg! I had no idea Longmire Season 4 would be released all at once. For some reason I thought it would be an episode a week, but...*faints* We watched the entire Season 4 on Tuesday, hubby's birthday. It.Was.Awesome! And another cliffhanger! Gah! There had better be a Season 5, that's all I'm sayin'. Then we finished Buffy Season 4 and Angel Season 1. We are now about halfway through Seasons 5/2. Yes, we have been couch potatoes this week. Sometimes a person just needs that. Trip and I continue to make steady progress on Bones. We're in Season 2 now.

Cyberspace Playground: Something that was shared on my Facebook wall. You're welcome. :D
Randomness: I want these books! Now! Again, I thank my Facebook friends for sharing stuff with me. lol

Today is Bag Day at the Friends of the Library sale, so we'll be going with our old FotL bags that hold many many books because the bottoms of the bags are square. For $10 we can fill a bag and let me tell you, I can pack those bags like a mofo. I'll try to remember to take pics for next week's post.

ReplyDeleteNetflix is a serious proble, especially when they upload a whole frickin season at once! Cause then the binging begins! Oh well it's fun.
I had to laugh at your book sale comment, that's hilarious! Pack em up!!
You forget to eat! That never happens me :O LOL I just renewed my Netflix subscription lately and I'm so looking forward now to catching up on all series! Hope you enjoy your new books.
ReplyDeleteWOW, you had a busy, busy week! And hey, it's good to eat, but I guess between eating hardly nothing, and eating like a hobbit is quite a big difference ;)
ReplyDeleteYour new books look great, and I hope you'll enjoy them all.
Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading.

I eat like a hobbit everyday LOL. A week of watching shows is a good week. I loved Buffy for some reason I havent watched the final ever episode I think it's cause I never ever want it to end LOL. I loved Angel!!! Have a great week :)

I liked the school picture day ad on the video more than the Southern Mom video. The Ad was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteVery busy lady you are! I have been mainlining Bones, I have seen most of them but not in order. It was sort of driving me crazy so, god bless Netflix!
ReplyDeleteThose book titles are hilarious and are so you! lol
Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! ox
LOL, yes I eat more when the hubby is home...love the hobbit reference...perfect! Glad the birthdays went well. Hopefully all that yard work helped off-set the coach potato fest.
ReplyDeleteI love library sales. I think our library has a sale in October. Sundays is $5.00 bag sale. Get great hauls then.
ReplyDeleteLove all of the viewing! Glad you're still enjoying Longmire - sounds like it's consistent, which is good. I've got all of Buffy and watched it to death but haven't seen all of Angel. I think I saw the first couple of seasons and then the final season so I must catch up on it at some point.
ReplyDeleteSuspiciously like a hobbit's - made me laugh :) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSmores, nom nom! And your Hobbit reference made me laugh. :D I can relate. I wish my library did a deal like that. The last day of the sale, books are half price, which isn't bad either.
ReplyDeleteNetFlix is DANGEROUS, I swear. But I like that they release a season all at once, no waiting.:)
Longmire was so good!!! I hate that it had a cliffhanger but I am hoping that means that Netflix is going to make a season 5 and won't leave us hanging like A&E.
