News

With the kids home, we've settled back into a semi-routine that will shift yet again as we get closer to school starting. I received two email notifications for upcoming books sales, one a local sale this month by a gentleman who has more books than we do except he sells his(!) and the other is the Burlington Friends of the Library sale in September. Woot! What? You can never have too many books. I know you agree, so just nod vigorously. Oh! And I have ended up a few times this week in the online newspaper A Day in Fiction. If you haven't subscribed yet I recommend it. I've seen articles I would have missed if it didn't come to my email daily. And it's FREE. We all love free, right?

  16. Book sales are so dangerous! I work near a used book store and only allow myself to go in once a month. Just so hard not to stock up when they are so cheap.

  22. I love library/Friends of the Library booksales. Our library has two huge ones a year, and I bring way too many books home each time. This year I'm trying to reverse the process at least somewhat -- prune some of the books we picked up when we were homeschooling high school. Got to make room for new ones, after all!

Enjoy your books, and thanks for stopping by today.

    1. We're lucky enough to live at the edge of two counties, so we go to the bi-annual sales of both libraries. Sometimes we score big and sometimes it's a bust, but it's always fun to go. :)

You're welcome and thanks for the return.

  23. Summer break for kids here in Aus are heaps shorter, so I found out the other day.... 6 weeks usually! Hopefully your kids won't creep into your book time too much *winks* Enjoy your haul!

Thanx for visiting my StS and Sunday Post!

    1. 6 weeks would be nice. I think the long summer breaks here in the US are bad for kids. They lose too much over the 12 or so weeks they are out.
