Hello and Not-So-Happy Sunday.
On the Home Front: We've had three deaths in the family in the last two weeks. If you follow my personal profile on Facebook then you know my little cousin, 8-yr-old Hannah, battling complications from two marrow transplants died suddenly on the 22nd. She was the bravest, strongest, most smiling soul I knew. Then one of my childhood playmates, my cousin Bobby, lost his battle with cancer on the 30th. And his father, my Uncle Joe (my dad's only sibling) came home from the hospital Friday and then left us early Saturday morning. I gotta tell you. I had high hopes for 2018. This is bullshit. Where is the big red Do Over button? Because I want to Hulk smash it.
In other news, I've been searching for a used SUV to replace our POS Montana. I've had various vans for 20 years (the Montana since 2005) and I'm ready for something else. Though I still need seating for 6 hence the SUV. Preferably with 4WD and a tow package. I'm striking out looking online for something in our price range. I'm seriously stressed right now. I may just go to the guy we bought our Accord and our Ranger from and tell him to go hunting for me. Plus, I'm getting tired of used vehicles stalking me on every website.
Touching Nature: It's been chilly and windy all week. And they are calling for a wintry mix this morning. Since I'm drafting this on Saturday evening I don't know yet whether we'll get squat or get hammered.
Book News: I've got nothing to report here.
Don't Touch That Dial!: Trip and I managed a binge or two of Arrow, but we're still in season 3.
At the Flicks: Not yet, but Black Panther comes out this month.
Cyberspace Playground: Pokémon and Wordscapes are still my obsessions.
Randomness:
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: It's ok to rail at the Universe when shit goes bad. But don't stay that first guy. Take a breath, pick yourself up, and be the 2nd guy.

I'm so sorry for all of your loses. It is always harder when the loses are children. Life really sucks sometimes. I really hope things get better for you. I think you've hit your quota for the year (or hopefully a few years).

DeleteI'm so sorry about the losses of your family members. That is so tough. I am so sorry. They are at peace and not suffering any longer. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sorry you're having trouble finding a new vehicle. That is a stressful thing to add to your plate. I hope you find something soon!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI still haven't found a vehicle, so the search continues. *sigh*
