--- AVR News Update ---
Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: I had a wonderful birthday last Sunday. Then on Tuesday I got a FedEx delivery from my oldest spawn (who lives in Ohio). He really knows what I like, so I'll forgive it being late. They are so very nommy! Anna wanted to know if this Shari person sold her soul to make her goodies so delicious. LOL

In other news: AT&T finally convinced me to try their U-Verse option. Not that I had much choice. They aren't going to update the software for their old system, so it's either deal with the snail slow speeds or try for the 6Mbps U-Verse. As I have probably mentioned many times before, there is no cable out here and satellite is too slow for streaming, so we're stuck with AT&T. Weds the tech came out at 8:50am and, of course, it was not an easy switchover. It took most of the day, but it was up and running by around 4:00pm or so and seems to be better. So far. Our old plan was supposed to be 3Mbps, but most of the time we were lucky if we were pulling in 1.5; 2.0 on a good day. I'd say it's fairly reliable at around 4.5Mbps, more if I'm the only one home. Obviously, the more people here sucking up the bandwidth the slower it gets, but so far it's not as slow as it's been on it's previous worse days. I'm cautiously calling it a win.

Touching Nature: I think we just maybe, quite possibly, might be back to our regularily scheduled Spring. I'm not liking the 80º days showing up in the forecast though. Wtf. S-P-R-I-N-G, Ma Nature! You don't go from Winter-like weather to Summer, ya damn bitch!

Book News: I've finished several books, wrote many reviews and drafted lots of posts. I'm feeling a little bit accomplished right now. Which probably means I've forgotten something important.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Not much of anything. When will my life slow down?

At the Flicks: Not yet. We missed out on LEGO Batman, but we may go see Power Rangers.

Cyberspace Playground: I've done no playing around in cyberspace this week. It makes me sad.

Randomness: A friend who obviously knows me well shared this on my FB wall. I want it!! LOL

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: I know this is fairly obvious, but don't eat the yellow snow. In fact, don't eat snow that's any other color but white. I don't eat snow at all because who knows what particles are in it. Just sayin'.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

    1. They are expensive, but Oh Em Gee!!! I'm not sure I could justify spending the money on myself, but I will definitely take them as presents. :D Time Warner which was bought by Spectrum *says* they may be expanding in our area. Possibly soonish. Yeah. We've heard that for 16 yrs, so we're not holding our breath.
