Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: School was closed Mon & Tues because of lingering icy conditions elsewhere in the county and they had a delay on Weds, but Thurs and Fri were back to business as usual. Trip had his 1st behind-the-wheel session yesterday and everyone survived. There was much rejoicing!
Touching Nature: As I stated in last Sunday's news, we survived the "storm" and nearly all of the white stuff is gone now. We're even supposed to be in the 60s this whole upcoming week. For fuck's sake. *exasperated sigh*
Book News: I've read 26 books this month and I've got 4 more books going, but I doubt I'll get them done by Monday. I am caught up on all reviews. There are probably some posts I could draft up, but fuck it. For now. lol
Don't Touch That Dial!: I'm bummed that we made no forward progress on the Supernatural rewatch, but hubby & I once again managed some Angel episodes. We have 1 left in Season 3 then we'll watch the 1st of Season 4 (because cliffhanger!) before going back to Season 6 of Buffy. In other news, after talking myself blue in the face for months, I finally got my friend Molly to watch Supernatural. She is totally hooked. Mwahahahaha!! Now that I've sucked her into the fandom I'm working on my friend Tonya. hehe If I could just get my oldest son and my youngest son to watch then my job would be complete. :D
At the Flicks: Not yet, soooooon...
Cyberspace Playground: I didn't do much cybersapcey stuff this week, but I did see this on Facebook and thought it was awesome.

Glad you guys survived blizzardpocalypse or whatever they're calling it. :) Had a melt here today too and it was nice to see the sun, oh yeah remember that? Haven't seen much of it lately, the sunshine felt good. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a ton of books, what a month! And Fire Touched looks good, been thinking about trying those.
Hahaha glad you survived the driving lesson. Oh, and good job recruiting more Supernatural fans. lol. Have a great week and enjoy your reading.
ReplyDeleteDragging new people into your fandoms is always fun - lol. Have a great week! :)
ReplyDeleteThe weather is so weird! We had cool weather at the beginning of the week, but since yesterday, my pollen allergies are out full force. We're still only January, so what is up with that?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get my hands on Fire Touched, I hope you'll enjoy it!
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

Glad everything is getting back to normal for you! You look to have some great new books too! Have a great week and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteGlad your snow is gone, if you need some I would be happy to send you a box or 3 from out driveway because this isn't melting until May. It's just a disaster and the town stinks at clearing things out.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on Trip and everyone else surviving his first driving lesson. Fingers crossed for lesson #2
26 books is great, I read like 4 because with my blog being all wonky I just bailed on life. LOL
BTW I am still having withdrawals, I do have a few other things to do but I totally feel like one of them should be yours. lol
Have a great week, Carol! Happy Reading! ox
I am glad to hear the snow is almost gone, I usually like seeing snow, but I can imagine so much snow is a bit too much. You sure read a lot of books this month! I read 11 books so far, which is pretty good for me, but I read a lot of novella's, so that explains the high number probably.
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend and I watched Pirates of the Carribean yesterday evening and are making some nice progress on Star Trek Deep Space 9. It's nice you got your friend hooked on a series you love. I heard good things about Supernatural.
The cover for Fire Touched is so pretty! I still have the first book in that series on my to-read list, but still haven't bought a copy. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!
So glad you survived the blizzard. I'm really excited for Fire Touched. I hoping to get a copy of the audio soon. I hope you have a great week.

26 books in a month??? wow pretty impressive! my challenge for the year is 30 books :) Lots of snow here too last week and now 50 degrees! crazy
ReplyDeleteMy oldest has to learn to drive but husband has been lazy to teach her. I'm afraid I'll have to do it so hopefully it goes well lol. I'll be listening to Patricia Briggs' Moon Called next and I can't wait to finally start this series. I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteApparently I need to speed watch through the entire ten seasons of Supernatural... otherwise I will never get ANYTHING done! I'm useless!
ReplyDeleteSo you are one of us now
DeleteYour Supernatural conversion of friends and family reminds me of the one I undertook last year for Game of Thrones. The only downside is they keep asking me when it returns. As for Supernatural, I haven't watched it live in years, because I find it easier to marathon. Though I'm behind two seasons. I hope you can get back to it.
ReplyDeleteWe've had really changeable weather here too - further south - has had days of 19C followed by days of 40C. Ridiculous!
ReplyDeleteFrom memory S6 of Buffy was very disappointing... (if it's the second last!)
It's in the 70s this week and I even got to see the sun! How weird:) Lots of great books this week. Beneath looks positively evil! And I'm wanting to read Patricia's books.

Wow!! 26 books in a month. I’m so jealous right now!! That’s just awesome.
ReplyDeleteEnd I love love love that Cat picture. LOL!!
Have a great week and I hope you can get your other friend to watch Supernatural! ;)
Look honey I made it.
