AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!

I hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th.

Home Front: We have had some water issues this week. As in, turn on the faucet and there is none. Well, fuck. We have a well and under the house we have a pressure tank. Apparently, the switch that reads the pressure and turns the pump on and off is giving out. It's sticking in the OFF position. We had to go under the house several times to fuck with it and then when hubby had Thurs off he filed the contact points. It's a temporary fix, but it did the trick for now. I guess when he's off this coming weekend we'll have to replace the switch. I'm really looking forward to that project because there's nothing I love better than crawling around under the house. Dammit, why hasn't someone invented a sarcasm font?! Other than that lovely issue, it's been a quiet week.

Touching Nature: I mowed and transplanted some seedlings on Monday. I have refrained from touching Nature the rest of the week. Kinda because we've had storms practically every day and it hasn't dried out enough to get shit done outside.

Book News: While I am pleased to announce my plan to write the review as soon as I finish a book is continuing (I know, I'm just as surprised as you!), my big news this week will be revealed tomorrow for Monster Porn Monday. Michelle over at Limabean Designs whipped me up a meme that, when I got it in my email, made me giggle gleefully and spin myself dizzy in my office chair. I can't wait to share it! Oh, yeah, in a sidenote, I am still 18 books behind on my challenge, but whatevs.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Supernatural rewatch: Season 2 complete. Begin Season 3!

At the Flicks: Nada

The Black Hole (AKA the Internet): Has anyone else discovered those Crack!Videos over on YouTube? Because they are my new addiction. Sorry, Buffy & Spike, WatchMojo and CinemaSins. I'm sure I'll get back to you guys.

Random Facts: 2015 is half over. There are 49 days left until school starts (for us anyway) and 173 days left until Christmas

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. Can't believe you're ditching Buffy and Spike. Even temporarily! ;-)

I've actually been (mostly) doing reviews as soon as I've finished the book as well. I usually defer them if the book's not out for a while but most I've read lately are being published at the moment so I've had no choice. It's been good. This having no choice thing cos otherwise apathy would set in!

    1. *hangs head in shame* I did watch a few of them the other day, so I feel a bit better about it. lol

I've always been a procrastinator, so having the review done as soon as I finish the book is new territory for me. And it's kinda weirding me out. :D

  3. Definitely not fun! Hopefully you're husband gets it fixed quickly as I don't think I'd enjoy crawling under my house either. I've been wanting to watch Supernatural but haven't yet. It looks really fun! Have a great week!
