AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!
AND
to our son Trip who is
Time sure does fly. It seems only yesterday I was out delivering the newspaper when I went into labor. I got half my route done, made it to the hospital with about 20 minutes to spare, popped him out then sent my husband out to finish my route. Most of the customers who called asking where their paper was were understanding when the office told them I was delivering a baby instead. But there's always a few sour pusses. *shrugs* Can't please everyone.
In other news: Exams are done and school is out. Cue Alice Cooper (I love Alice Cooper!)...
The kids will have a busy week coming up. They'll be getting DDS and Ortho app'ts out of the way and haircuts as well as cleaning out their clothes and getting some new stuff before heading to Ohio for a visit with my parents. Yep. We will be kid-free for about a week-and-a-half. :) We spent Friday having a Supernatural marathon. 14 hours and 17 episodes. Great Scott! I can no longer stay up until 2:30 in the AM even when I do sleep until after 9:00. The change in routine about killed me today. lol
And finally: *pause* Nope. That was it. I got nothing else this week.
That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

XGeneration looks interesting. So does Hyde and Death Whispers. Oh wow...I can't believe you sent your husband out to finish your paper route! That's hilarious! But very responsible of you. Maybe that appeased some of the sour pusses. Hope you have a great week!

Well, he knew the route from helping me on Sundays. lol Nah. There's always someone who complains. *shrugs* :)
DeleteWhat a birth story lol ! I bought Fat vampire too some time ago, hope it will be as fun as it looks. Have a great week ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks! lol Read it! It's great. :)
DeleteYou summer sounds like out at our house. Lots of dentist appts, and my son is going to get his braces soon. Fun, fun, fun. Have a great week. :)
ReplyDeleteJenea @ Books Live Forever's Sunday Post
All 3 of mine needed braces. Anna is out of them now, Trip will need another round once all his baby teeth finally vacate and Kyle is in top braces now, waiting for his baby teeth to fall out. *sigh*
DeleteBaby stories are great! Happy Birthday to your son, I hope he has a great day!!!
ReplyDeleteBecause of my change of cable provider I lost this season of supernatural so my husband and I are looking forward to catching up on the series when it is available on Netflix or TV. Was so made to miss this season but I am sure we will catch up! Those Winchester boys are hard to stay away from :)
I hope you have a great week!!! Happy Reading!
They can be. lol Thanks! :)
DeleteOh, noes!! We've been watching it on Netflix. Since Season 9 just ended it's not on there yet. By the time we get caught up it may be. :D
Happy Birthday to your son! And what a great birth story! You got some great looking books this week...I'll have to go check them out. I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope you have had a great week! :)
DeleteHah, I can't believe some people were upset that you were giving birth instead of giving them newspapers! LOL Happy Birthday to your son though. :)
ReplyDelete-Lauren
I know, right? lol Thanks! :)
DeleteThanks for the Alice Cooper vid, that helped me wake up this morning! :) I like the sound of XGeneration too, will check that out a little closer...
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. I love Cooper. :D
DeleteCustomers actually complained because you were in labor delivering a baby instead of their newspaper? smh
ReplyDelete" My Greedy Requests From NetGalley " - love it. :D :D
Lots of interesting looking books this week, enjoy!
Yep. lol
DeleteI had grabby hands. *hangs head*
Thanks! :)
Happy fathers day to your hubby and happy birthday to your son!! 15!! They grow so fast don't they! Love the story - out delivering papers, wow! You pushed it to the very last minute, didn't you? (I'm a step-mom, so I skipped that part lol)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read your fat vampire review, since I own it and haven't actually gotten around to reading it! Have a great week Carol :)
Thank you! :) I can't beleive how fast they grow and how fast time flies! I did. And the last kid was even quicker. I almost didn't make it to the hospital in time. LOL
DeleteFat Vampire is an interesting title, I'll have to look into that. Love the cover of Hyde, may have to give that a try as well.
ReplyDeleteCheck out my Sunday post
Also, new GFC follower! Love your blog design too!
DeleteIt's a great book. Go ahead and grab it. You know you want to. lol
DeleteThank you! I'm thinking of changing it just a bit. But not just yet. :)
I saw your facebook stats about Supernatural, it is addicting. Have an awesome week, sounds like you have a busy one ahead. I love Cooper too!
ReplyDeleteOh.Em.Gee! Addicting isn't even the word! LOL This week has been too much for me. I'm looking forward to sleeping in on Monday. *yawns*
Deletelol - that's funny about when you had your son. Happy Birthday to him!! I need to have a Supernatural Marathon. I'm like, 4 seasons behind. I don't even remember what the hell was going on. :(
ReplyDeleteHa! Wait until you hear about my other kids' births. I'll share when they come up. hehe
DeleteYes! Marathon! And not remembering what's going on means that's a *perfect* excuse to start from the beginning! *bounce bounce* Do it! :D
Wow that's a cool birth story, I think that it's great how devoted to your job you were sending hubby out to finish the rest. :-) Happy birthday to your dear boy.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have a busy week coming up, I hope you enjoy it and the visit to your parents.
Sharon @ Sharon's Book Nook!
I just didn't want to be charged for having someone else deliver them. lol Thank you!
DeleteIt was busy and I'm exhausted. I'm meeting my mom halfway and she'll take the kids up. Hubby & I will follow in a week-and-a-half. :)
What a great birth story! Happy birthday to him! A kid free week and a Supernatural marathon seems like a lot of fun. It is too bad we're not able to keep the hours we used to. I've found that 2AM isn't a regular thing for me anymore. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :) I look forward to this time of year. We get some alone time and the kids get to travel and visit without us. Win-win.
DeleteI remember when I could stay up late and then get up early. Not anymore. LOL
Fat Vampire Value Meal :) love it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Trip - what a great story about his birth, and kids love it when you tell them about their birth. With my youngest (who is 15 is well) I went into early labour in the morning but really didn't want to go into hospital (it was my 3rd child so I knew it can take ages) so I went supermarket shopping with my mum and kept stopping 'arrh, hold on just a minute', bit of breathing, and off we went, continue with our shopping. When we came home from the supermarket I went to the hospital… I was there at 10 and she was born at 10:25 LOL
Have a great week and Happy Reading.
My Sunday Post is here
Thank you! Birth stories are always great to hear. :) I'm glad we both made it in time. :D
