AVR News Update
Hello and Happy Sunday!

We have A/C!!

Ahhhh!!! So nice to be cool again. I can even use my oven without dying from heat prostration. Anyway, the guys showed up on Thursday at 08:50 and were packed up by 12:30. Around 1:30 another guy came to do the system checks and an hour later the air was on and the house was cooling down. BAM!

In other news: There is no other news! Bwahahahaha! Kidding.
~There's a week of school left. Yay! The kids will have a week off then they head to Ohio for 2 weeks to visit my parents. :)
~The tomato plants are in, I have some other planting to do and I weeded the flowerbeds. They were getting really bad. Oops.
~We've finished Season Two of Supernatural. Nooooo, Dean! *shakes head*
~It's a busy month on the homestead, so I cut back on the blog this week, but I do have some stuff upcoming. In fact, I need to write next week's reviews. Better get crackin' on that.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

    1. It was awful out and then as soon as it was up and running the temps dropped. *slaps forehead* Exams this week and then done. They are more than ready. lol Thanks!

  5. Ward Z looks awesome. Our AC broke last year and we went without for 4 days. On the third day I had a mental meltdown. My husband grabbed me, shoved me in the car and took me to the movies..where I shivered and regained control. Since I never lose it..it was quite scary. Enjoy!

    1. It does and Victory Blvd sounds like it will be pretty good. Weds was so awful! I mean, it was the worst day since the A/C went out and I was flat out miserable. Thurs was yucky, too, but at least the end was only hours away. I can see why people snap when it's so hot out. Weds was not only hot, but humid. *shudders* It's only a bad memory now, thank goodness. :)

  6. Huzzah for AC! Happy dance, indeed. I'm not a happy camper without my AC - not at home, anyway. (And if I'm camping, it had better be somewhere relatively cool!)

I'm loving that Arabian Nights cover - so pretty! Nice package from Kensington, too. Enjoy your new books and have a great (and cool) week!

    1. *grabs hands and swings in a circle* I know, right?! lol We had days, Weds most especially, that were awful. For the most part though, the temps stayed in the upper 70s or low 80s and it was bearable with fans going. But Weds *groans* Awful. Just awful.

It is! It grabbed my eye and I knew I didn't already have a copy at home. Cool weeks are awesome! lol

  7. YAY for A/C. :)

I am trying to resist the freebies; I have so many unread books. smh I need more hours in the day for reading.

Your Kensington package looks wonderful, enjoy!

  8. Woohoo for the AC!! Mine went out in May and I thought I was melting! It was during a little hot spell and so not fun but glorious when it came back up and was running. lol

    1. Yeah, ours has been out for over a month and those days in May were awful. Good for the electric bill though. LOL

    1. *doing the A/C dance* I'm not sure how I managed to grow up without it, but then the weather wasn't so crazy when I was a kid. Plus, I grew up in Ohio. :)

  12. Yay for A/C!!! *happy dance* Seriously, this would be a horrible summer without it! And I'm a little jealous that you just finished season 2 of supernatural. Seasons 3-5 are my favorite I think :) Enjoy !

    1. I used to hate the cold with a passion. I have completely changed my mind. At least when it's cold you can add layers or blankets, build a fire in the fireplace or crank up the heat. When it's hot and there's no A/C you can only strip down so far. LOL

  15. I hope you enjoy Jim Butcher. I gave the first one a try and it wasn't for me but the guy I sit next to waxes lyrical about him constantly.
