AVR News Update
The vacay continues and despite a few minor set backs I did manage to get quite a bit done behind the scenes this week. My Excel sheets are set up and just need some more filling out, but the bulk of the work is done. I did some work for Ind'tale's Goodreads profile and I've been reading every chance I've managed to squeeze out of the day.

This coming week will continue with reading, reading, reading and with a bit of judicious juggling we should be able to go to the beach for the weekend thanks to friends who have a place for us to stay and my stepdaughter who will house & pet sit for us. Cross your fingers that we can go. The kids (not to mention hubby & I) are really looking forward to a few days of sand and surf.

My daughter's Sweet 16 was Friday the 13th. My oldest son (he's 28) sent her flowers and a teddy bear. Is that sweet or what? So proud of him. :)

I've been asked to join some book tours, so I'll be having a few of those coming up in November. I've also had a stellar week in Shelf Additions as you'll see below. I'm going to figure out how to add an RSS feed, I've started adding labels to posts and I'm hoping to get some graphics going for my upcoming features, Walking on Wednesday with Audios and Saturday Shorts.

So, I may or may not stay on vacay until Sept. 30th or I may pick up the pace after this week. I won't know until I get the reviews written up for the books (7 of them so far) I've finished and get them penciled into the schedule. Yeah, yeah, I haven't written them yet. I'm a Procrastinating Pisces. What can I say?

This is AVR News Update signing off.
May all your books enthrall you.

  1. I'm still waiting to hear from the author on Soul Survivor why NetGallery isn't loading it for review. I'm jealous! :)

    2. Don't be jelly girlfriend! I'm sure it'll get straightened out and you'll have it in your hot little hands. I mean, Renfield. ;)

And NetGalley sometimes PMSs, but it usually gets fixed fairly quickly.

  4. Most of the covers look a bit too romancey or erotic for my reading tastes but I hope you enjoy them!

    1. I tend to lean towards romance and erotica, but I like paranormal and suspense, too. Well, and many other genres, to be honest. LOL :)

  5. Happy belated birthday to your daughter! You definitely got a ton of books this week! I've been wanting to join a few tours but with the way I'm procrastinating I can barely entertain the idea.
I hope you enjoy everything and have a good week!

    1. I've done Red Adept tours all year, but there's usually only 1 or 2 a month and I get the ARCs in plenty of time, so they're doable. These others are in November, so I have time to get them done, too.

      Thanks! :)

  11. Amazing haul! Here is what caught my eye- No Escape, Unspeakable, Quarantine, and Never Desire a Duke.
I am curious about the Christmas book..of course I am a sucker for all things theme related but the anything for a dollar made me ill..i hope he is just a naked model. LOL Sweet Sixteen is special and what a wonderful brother..you should be proud mama!

    1. I knew you'd spot the Christmas book, but the one I really thought would catch your eye was Braineater Jones since it's a zombie book. lol Anything for a Dollar sounded intriguing and it's an anthology. I do like anthologies.

I am proud of him. My daughter did say she expected the card in the flowers to say 'Happy Birthday Beavis' since that's what they call each other. LOL

I hope I enjoy it too. I haven't listened to the Mott books yet. I saw them on Audible for free, so decided to get them for my Walking on Weds with Audios reviews. It'll be a bit before I get to them. I've read Poison Study though and loved it. All of them actually. I got the audio to listen with the kids. I think they'll like it.
