BBNYA 2023 Spotlight ~ Are You Okay, Elliot Hart?

You keep it on the inside because it's the safest place to hide.

Fifteen-year-old Elliot ‘Matchstick’ Hart spends his days caring for his mum and hiding from the school bully.

Fifteen-year-old Josh McBride spends his days tormenting Elliot and avoiding his abusive stepdad.

Inspired by a picture in an old newspaper, Elliot embarks on an adventure to the city. Little does he know that Josh has decided to join him. On their journey, strangers and surprises force them to look at each other in a different light.

As secrets are uncovered, can the boys bury their differences or will it tear them further apart?

2021 Book RoundUp

Here's my list of 69 reads. Hehe I said 69. *cough*
Anyway, 69, what an abysmal number for me.
I hope 2022 is more plentiful.

Self-published Author Appreciation Week: Red Adept Publishing

Self-published and small press authors always seem to get a lot of shit, so a bunch of book bloggers decided to get together and share our love for the self-pubbed and small press authors who entertain us with awesome stories. I don't know why certain people out there in the book blogging sphere keep insisting on saying that self-pubbed = crap writing because, while I may have hit a dud or two, most of what I've read over the last decade have been pretty fucking good! So, go click any and/or all of our posts all week long over on Witty & Sarcastic Bookclub run by the fabulous Jodie. Many thanks to her for organizing this and for Anca Antoci over at Summon Fantasy for creating the banners and badge.
