Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front
Sunday ~ Honestly, every time I try to remember to update this post daily I promptly forget. What did I do last Sunday? I can't remember. I'm so very tired. I do remember being overwhelmed by all that needs done. I think Anna and I worked on her room.
Monday ~ Took the cans up the drive for recycling and garbage pick up tomorrow. Fed the critters. Insulation guys came to put up spacers. It didn't take them long. Packed things up in Anna's room.
Tuesday ~ Trip had an appointment. I dropped off the wasband's office chair and a few things while Trip was at his appointment. Then we stopped by Lowe's for more boxes and had brunch at Waffle House. HVAC inspection passed. Packed up more things in Anna's room.
Wednesday ~ Trip had an appointment. Stopped by BJ's for gas and groceries then hit the CVS drive thru for meds. Worked on the blog and I can't remember what else. The cold I've had for over a week is killing me today. My head is anyway. Lots of sinus pressure, stuffy then runny nose, sneezing, and some coughing.
Thursday ~ This is the one morning I did not go back to bed after taking Kyle to work because I am so tired I feared I would oversleep my alarm. So I showered instead and then went through emails. Trip had an appointment. Thank goodness this is the last one this week. Ugh. Had to run Anna's morning meds to her at work, so we stopped and had lunch at Pano's Diner. Then Trip wanted to hit B&N and we stopped at Food Lion for a few groceries. Electrical inspection passed. I took a little nap in my office chair before picking up Kyle. Head cold not as bad as yesterday.
Friday ~ In the morning, worked on the computer. Then worked on packing more stuff up in Anna's room, computer area, and made room in the boys' bedroom for their table and computers. Made room in the office for Anna's desk and computer. Got Anna's bed apart. It was not as horrible as I was dreading. However, in the course of loading the Pack Rat I realized we were about out of room, so I ordered an 8' one to be delivered tomorrow.
Saturday ~ 8' Pack Rat delivered at 9am. It's so humid out. I was up at 4 (but back to bed from about 5:30 until 8) to take Kyle to work and left again at 10:30 to pick him up. Saturdays they only work 5-11. When I got back with him we all went to work clearing the area where they game on their computers. Moved the table and their gaming stuff to their room. They are cramped but it will work until all the renovations are complete. We got quite a lot done and we are feeling it. So Very Tired. And my right heel is killing me. Ordered Domino's for dinner and enough for tomorrow as well. Showered then worked on this post. I hate showering at 8 in the evening because I know my hair will be every which way in the morning, but I'm not going anywhere except maybe to Best Buy though I really don't want to spend money there. However, we are moving Anna's computer into my office so I may need to get a 4 port switch so she has internet if the wifi isn't fast enough. We'll see tomorrow. I used my last box. Again. So I may need to get a few more. Again. I've been to Lowe's 4 times I think. And I went to Walmart for many boxes before I stopped shopping there in February. Between boxes for us and Jess I bet I've spent $200.
I can't tell you how much we got done today. It was A LOT. Thank goodness for the boys. They moved boxes and furniture, packed and carried. Anna took everything off her desk then got fixated on cleaning her keyboard and worked on that for hours. Hours! Anyway, we have way too much stuff. Everyone will need to do a serious sort when we unpack everything. Rained several times and thundered. I love thunder. I especially love a porch roof that doesn't leak! My head cold seems to be clearing. I am super tired though. Not sure if that's due to the cold or the work or probably both.
Today ~ I plan on doing the usual cleaning in the morning. I didn't get anything done last week except the laundry room (and litter boxes), so the kitchen and my bathroom are way overdue. After that I will work on clearing the last of the small stuff (but not the three cabinets yet) from the computer area (soon to be craft area) and there's a corner shelf in Anna's room that I may try to loosen the corners so we can squeeze it enough to get it down the hallway. It is heavy. And a pain in the ass. The contractor said his guys could take it out Anna's window seat window once the wall is down since the window isn't in yet, but it is heavy and that's a long drop. So, even though I'd love to do it that way, I can't ask them to. Anna said she could mess with it tomorrow, maybe just going ahead and taking it apart. That would free me up to take her tv off the wall. The only thing left then would be the covers for the light switch and outlets. I didn't want to remove the outlet covers until the last minute so the cats don't mess with them.
Construction News ~ The windows and patio door should be delivered some time Monday. The contractor wants to break through the walls Tuesday. Terrifying! But that's also why we were busy little beavers this weekend. We should be completely ready by Tuesday. Like I said above there's only some little stuff to do and hopefully Sunday will see it done. If not there's always Monday. However, I do want to mow Monday morning and have Trip do the weed eating. We have not done any yet so far this Spring and the grass/weeds are l-o-n-g. But that is good for the bees and butterflies. Once Anna's wall is out, I believe the framing inspector needs to come out. They may also need to have the other wall opening cut, but Anna's entire wall is coming out so the inspector needs to see the contractor's building support for that for sure. Once that passes it'll be full steam ahead.
I'm hoping to be less busy this week and Kyle's not working OT, so I should be getting a bit more sleep. So I can reply to comments on my blog posts and visit blogs in return. I just haven't had time. When I do have time I fall asleep. I was working on my blog one day this week and nodded off, nearly smashing my head into my keyboard. I'm sorry I've been such a terrible friend. I suck.
Touching Nature: Not horrible. Weather was pleasant before it got a bit warm. Rained off and on yesterday, thunderstorming at times.
Book News: I have nothing to report here. I had a book I needed to read for a tour review and barely even opened it. Every evening I tried to read but ended up falling asleep instead. Regular reading will have to wait until things settle down. My only reading right now is audiobooks.
Don't Touch That Dial!: I've been watching Obi-Wan Kenobi when I eat dinner, but finished that. Well, there were only 6 episodes, so that didn't last long. I want to finish Lucifer, but that will depend on what Anna wants to do since we were watching that together.
At the Flicks: Nope
Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Word Lots, Crossword Jam, Solitaire, jigsaw puzzles, the Finch app - is anyone wants to be friends just let me know.
Randomness: *whispers* It's Godzilla. Right? Leave it alone.

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: The more you procrastinate the worse things get. Try doing a bit at a time. Don't be like me and do everything at the last minute. It's very stressful and a hard habit to break.

I really hope your cold is over for this week and that you get some more rest today. I'm tired and I haven't even been doing all the stuff you have. I'll probably have to mow and trim and such again this week though.
