Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: Sunday morning we used the Kubota and a yard cart and picked up all the broken limbs and twigs from when the trees were cut down out back. I tried to read in the afternoon, but kept dozing off since I went to bed after midnight.
Monday ~ In the morning, Trip and I completely cleaned off the back deck and front porch. I didn't notice until Tuesday we forgot the solar lights on the gutter of the back deck. Oh, well. There they stay for the next 2 months or so because we can't reach them as of Tuesday (see below). lmao The large dumpster was dropped off and the porta potty, too. Anna dropped her car at the body shop after work and I picked her up. In between I picked up Ellie at school then picked up Kyle at work. It was a busy day. I made kielbasa and fried potatoes for dinner.
Tuesday ~ Whoa. Lots going on here today. The contractor was here for awhile, the electricians were here all day (installing new meter box, outside electric panel, etc.), the HVAC guys were here half a day (moving heat pump to temporary location), and the demo crew was here all day removing the back deck and front porch. Whew! The power was off for about 3 hours while the electricians did their voodoo. Picked Ellie up from school then picked Kyle up from work in my Pilot since Anna had his car. By the time I got back with him everyone was gone.
Wednesday ~ Had Jess drop me off around 8:00am to pick up Anna's car. I ran it to her at work and picked up Kyle's car. The electrician was back to finish up some things and the HVAC guys had to return because I had no heat and I couldn't get the fan to turn on. Apparently the freon had all leaked out due to a leak near the compressor (this is something that was fixed as best as possible last Fall). I said I wasn't going to fix it again because we'll be getting a new larger heat pump when the additions are done. So in about 8 weeks or so. I don't think I'll need A/C during that time and they got the emergency heat to work, so we should be able to limp along for now.
Thursday ~ Trip and I dug a trench revealing the water line out back. It took us 2 hours and we didn't completely get it done, but I died so we didn't finish. lol We left a relatively small amount for the plumbers to do Friday. Part of the water line along the back of the house would be in the way of the footers for the living room addition so it has to be temporarily relocated. Then I decided we needed a Waffle House breakfast to revive us. We took lunch to Anna since her ADHD assessment got rescheduled and she didn't bring lunch thinking she'd be leaving at noon. After that we stopped and picked up a generator at Harbor Freight. One more item off the To Do List. When Anna's room addition is up the contractor will have a concrete pad poured next to it for the generator and get an enclosure to keep it out of the weather. The electrician will then wire a transfer switch for it and we'll be good to go for a power outage. Picked up Ellie at school then filled the diesel can for the Kubota. Picked Kyle up from work and after feeding the furries he paid for Zaxby's for dinner which I picked up. An exhausting day.
Friday ~ The plumber came and finished digging up the water line. Then he relocated it. The water was off for a few hours while he did that. Picked Kyle up from work then we stopped to pick up the lotus ring I ordered a few weeks ago from a local jeweler. It's my birthday/divorce present to myself. Kyle made an appointment to get his ears pierced next Friday. The large dumpster got picked up. We won't need another smaller dumpster for at least a week or a bit more. Made Mississippi Pot Roast with rice for dinner.
Saturday ~ Did the usual Saturday cleaning and the first weekend of the month cleaning. It took all day since I took several breaks because I really didn't want to do it. I'm tired. lol My right heel is really bothering me and I don't know why. After eating leftovers for dinner, Anna and I rubbed each others feet. That helped a lot.
Today I'm planning to relax as much as possible. We want to go to Academy Sports to look at handguns and I need more ammo for the rifles and shotgun. So if we do that in the morning we can relax the rest of the day. Well, I'll relax and maybe read if I don't fall asleep. The boys will game. Kyle is planning on grilling brats for dinner. Tomorrow the footers are supposed to be dug and concrete poured. The inspector will need to do their thing then shit's really going to start hopping around here.
Touching Nature: Nice weather! Spring-like even. Still a bit chilly at night but definitely looking/feeling like Spring. Got a bit of rain Thursday. Trip and I picked up some misc small debris out front from the porch demolition and we dug up the water line out back for the plumbers. I figured we'd save them some time and us money. lol
Book News: So far behind here, but at least it's still early in the year. Right? lol
Don't Touch That Dial!: Anna is back, but we've just been too tired to finish Lucifer, so just been semi-mindlessly rewatching CSI: NY.
At the Flicks: Nope
Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Word Lots, Crossword Jam, Solitaire, jigsaw puzzles, the Finch app - is anyone wants to be friends just let me know.
Randomness: RUDE!

I'm hoping we get decent weather for a bit now. Today's digging of footers has hit a snag. 1 step forward and 2 steps back. sigh
