Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front:  Will I ever have a week that I'm not busy? Vet appointments (updated shots for 3 dogs), picking up Ellie from school, Kyle working OT so up at 4:00am (I do go back to bed from about 5:15 until 8), grocery pick up, had the grandkiddos for a sleep over Friday evening, Kyle had to work 6 hrs Saturday morning, then the grandkiddos opened their cards from their grandpa which had Walmart giftcards in them, so Anna, Trip, and I took them to Walmart to spend before hitting McD's and taking them to their mawmaw's. After getting home I did the Saturday cleaning, went to put gas in the Pilot, and Kyle bought Zaxby's for dinner. Anna went to have dinner at April's. I'm so tired.

Today I hope to finish the last BBNYA book and do my laundry before making tacos for dinner.

Touching Nature: Warmed up enough to give us 2.75" of rain in 2 days then got cold again. Why is it so hard to get a decent snow here in NC? I just want to sled down the drive for a day then have it melt away. LOL

Book News: I've read 3 of the 4 books for BBNYA. The deadline for panelists (including me) is tomorrow. I figure I'll have the last one done today.

Don't Touch That Dial!:  CSI

At the Flicks: Nope

Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Word Lots, Crossword Jam, Solitaire, jigsaw puzzles, the Finch app - is anyone wants to be friends just let me know.

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: It is never ever too late to follow a dream. If you have limitations then look at your dream another way. Turn it around, inside out, this way or that. "Where there's a will, there's a way" or "think outside the box" aren't just empty expressions. Sometimes you just have to noodle the issue in your noggin for a bit. And never underestimate the power of brainstorming, especially with friends.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. I'm happy to have finished my BBNYA reads last Monday. I've been reading what I want this week. But now I have to get to my ARCs for early January. NO you will never have a week with nothing. There's always something that should be picked up, cleaned, figured out, maintained or whatever. But this month has been pretty good for us.
