Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front:  Another busy week. Kyle worked OT (including Saturday) except for Monday. So, up at 4am. Put the lights on the tree and then the kids decorated it. Picked Ellie up from school a few days, Nancy came to do the dog nails, Kyle had an eye check up, wrapped the grandkiddos Christmas presents, dropped Oscar at Petsmart to get groomed, did grocery pick up and other errands, started the 1st weekend of the month cleaning on Friday so I could do the usual Saturday cleaning on Saturday, and we had a fire in the fireplace every night since it was so cold out. Unfortunately, the thermostat is in the same room as the fireplace, so the rest of the house gets cold. It's nice anyway and we're enjoying it because next year I'm having the fireplace removed and getting a wood burning stove in the new addition. Which should put it further away from the thermostat and thus less likely to affect the rest of the house. 

Today, before the rain supposedly moves in, I want to engage in Battle X of Leafageddon: The Battle to End All Battles. Then I want to read. I made Mississippi pot roast and rice for dinner yesterday so leftovers are on the menu for today.

Touching Nature: Cold! Like, nipples cutting glass cold. Of course it's going to warm up a bit so we get rain and not snow then get cold again. For fucks sake. I just want a decent snow!

Book News: I had listed 100 books as my Goodreads Challenge this year, but decided to revise it down to 70. So, I finished an audiobook and completed my Challenge. I'm actually surprised I did that many considering how my year has been, but I do about 40 minutes of audios M-F while driving, so I guess they add up. Hoping to get my BBNYA2024 entries read this coming week. The deadline is the 16th. Eeek! I currently have 14 reviews to write and I want to finish 5 books on my currently reading shelf before the end of the year.
