Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: Not much going on this week. Took Anna's Civic to get an oil change and an inspection for new license sticker. Which meant breakfast at the diner next door, so yum. Grocery pick up on Thursday. I was supposed to go to the dentist on Tuesday for a small filling, but I have a cold that Kyle brought home from work and shared with me. So, that had to be rescheduled. I also want to start going to the Sheetz fitness center (with Trip), but it will need to wait until this cold is gone. We can make an appointment with the fitness specialist and she can work up a program for us. I know I'm ready to get started. Trip not so much but he will if I do, so I'm going to make him. lol Hubby goes on his work days. The rule is, if they get back to the Distribution Center before 3:30am they have to go work out. His rule (for himself) has pushed other drivers into working out so that's a good thing. We did not do anything special for Valentine's Day because I don't believe in it. I didn't even go to the stores on Thursday to get discounted chocolate which is the best part about VD. I have plenty of candy already and since I want to work out I figured I'd skip it this year. Saturday, as per usual, was cleaning day. I went though some files one day this week. Maybe it was Sunday? I still have a box to go through, but I'm slowly getting the finer points done in the office.

Today, not sure, but maybe I should really write up some reviews. So I'll probably read some and write some. We'll see.

Touching Nature: Definitely Spring-like with warmer temps during the day (50s/60s), but colder at night (20s/30s/40s). My daffodils are really starting to take off and I have my first handful in a Maker's Mark bottle. lol Soon I'll need to get out there and clean up my beds and get the rest of the wood split and moved as well as burn some brush piles.

Book News: I actually got some books read this week. But only one review written, so I think I have 16 to do? Eek. I did get a bunch of posts drafted though. And I spent nearly a whole day updating The Write Reads Goodreads group. It had been abandoned, but is up to date now. There are upcoming book tours if you want to check it out. I'm going to try to check it once a day for anyone who wants to join.

Don't Touch That Dial!:  Still rewatching Bones, Lucifer, and Psych. Trying to read more though.

At the Flicks: Nope

Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Word Lots, Crossword Jam, Solitaire, jigsaw puzzles

Randomness:  It's true! And then I have to get my bird book out. Although, I know what a tufted titmouse is because look at it! The distinction is right there in the name! Tufted, not titmouse.

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: I swear I had one and then I forgot to write it down and now it's gone forever. Or at least until the next time I think of it. And forget to write it down. So, I know I've said this before, but write shit down. Trust me when I say you will not remember it later.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. Sometimes the day to day stuff just really eats up all the time. But some of that stuff is fun too.

  2. I hope the cold soon goes away - I must check to see if my brave little bunch of daffs have made an appearance in the garden. The catkins are definitely dangling in the breeze. I've nicked across and grabbed a copy of Plucked by an Orc - thank you for sharing and have a great week:)).
