Hello and Happy Sunday!

Happy Halloween!!
👻🎃🦇💀

On the Home Front: Busy week. Appointments, errands, and just stuff in general needing done. Hubby is continuing his flying lessons. Scrappy's new owner loves him so I don't anticipate him being returned. Kyle got a raise. My oldest brother made it back safe and sound from his vacation in Greece. The weather got kinda warm, in the 80s. Yuck. However, it's supposed to drop back down on Tuesday. That's about it.

Today I plan on engaging in Battle III of Leafageddon ahead of the rain coming Tuesday.

Tuesday I go to the oral surgeon to get two teeth removed. I hope I wake up from the sedative. If I don't it's been nice knowing you all. Actually, that would be even more awful as Tuesday is my wedding anniversary - 26 yrs. Anyway, I'm sure it will be fine. I just want it over and done with. I've been stressing big time about it all month.

Touching Nature: Was enjoying some nice Fall weather then it climbed into the 80s. Ugh. However, it's supposed to drop to the 50s Tuesday. I was victorious in Battle II of Leafageddon on Sunday. Hubby and I husked the 2 - 5 gallon buckets of black walnuts we had so far. Two pairs of gloves was not enough. Now our hands look like we've been heavy smokers for decades.

Book News: I read my book club book, Ordeal by Innocence by Agatha Christie. This is my 2nd Christie book and despite how old they are I'm enjoying them.

Don't Touch That Dial!:  Still watching Lucifer. Anna watched some Goosebumps Friday evening and I saw bits and pieces while I was reading. Seems like a pretty good show.

For October, so far we've watched: Beetlejuice, Jaws, Hocus Pocus, The Haunted Mansion, Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, Frankenstein (1931), The Wolf Man (1941), Dracula (1931) and Young Frankenstein.

At the Flicks: Nope

Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Word Lots, Solitaire, jigsaw puzzles

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Traditional breakfast foods can be for breakfast or any damn time you want them. There's no law saying they are only for breakfast.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  2. We just got to 80ish and I thought it was lovely. I'm debating about my tomatoes and peppers since it is supposed to warm up right after the (33) Wednesday night. I'm hoping I can cover them and have a bit more outdoor growing season. The basil isn't happy with cold weather even when covered so I probably pick as much as I can. I did the first big leafeater battle yesterday doing half the backyard. Good luck in your fights!

  3. We had really warm weather last week too but are paying for it now. We started Goosebumps but are only one episode in and to be honest, I was so preoccupied during it with our new demanding puppy, I probably need to watch that one again too!
