Can you believe this is the last quarter of 2023?
I need to find time (and space) to put up Halloween decorations.
On the Home Front: Wow. I have so much to do I spend too much time trying to figure out how to get it done. If I do *this* on *that* day then I can do *the other*...wait, I have to do that *other* thing, so let's...gah! I do get things done, but I let things that aren't time sensitive slide. Like, the coat area in the office. I have coats hung but everything else still needs sorted and put up on the shelves. It's not a priority so there it all sits. It bugs me, yes. But at least the project itself is built. My desk seriously needs done, but again, appointments and shit like that have to come first.
This coming week Trip has two appointments and for the love of the Book Gods I have no idea why we scheduled his 6 month dental on grocery day. And at 11:30 in the morning, too, when we usually like to do stuff like that earlier to get it out of the way. I have to make time to drop Kyle's car off for a front end alignment this week and most likely will need a tire rotation. I keep forgetting my right rear brake lights are out on the Pilot, too. Dammit. I'll make a note to do that today. But I also need to take Scrappy to Petsmart for an adoption event. He really needs to go to a forever home. My life is too stressful right now to really concentrate on him. But at least he's not cooped up in a kennel.
One day at a time.
Touching Nature: It's been super nice. I mowed Thursday afternoon. Soon Leafageddon will begin.
Book News: I have nothing of note to report here.
Don't Touch That Dial!: I'm closing in on the finale of Angel. I think hubby and I will finish an audiobook (book 6 in the Orphan X series) when I'm done. So, probably no boobtube for a bit.
At the Flicks: Nope
Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Word Lots, Solitaire, jigsaw puzzles
Randomness:
Randomness:
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: At dusk and at dawn, turn your headlights on. It's not about whether YOU can see, but if others can see YOU. It's a safety thing. Please do it.
That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

yes I spend some time planning but it does also help me prioritize and sometimes calm down since I have more realistic plans. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed like I am behind so this week is time to catch up. I'm packing in stuff like laundry and dishes where I can. Tomorrow I will do the final fall planting for spring stuff - rhubarb, asparagus and some lily bulbs. I hate to tell you but Leafageddon has begun here. I filled the 2 compost bins with shredded leaves last week but have one to go. But the leaf falling has only begun.

I've been overwhelmed all year and it's really wearing me down. I'm so ready for 2024.
DeleteOk, so leaves have started to come down for about 3 weeks now and I did do the driveway once, mostly because hubby needed to scrape it with the box blade or I would have just let it go. But Leafageddon hasn't started in earnest here. Yet.
What a cover that Cup of Tea has. Glad you have made some good progress on Angel - can you believe I've never watched it OR Buffy? Who am I right?
ReplyDeleteIsn't that cover something? lol Don't feel bad. I didn't watch either show until a few years ago. Or maybe it was more than a few. Maybe it was Buffy's 20th anniversary, so 2017? Or somewhere around that time. lol
DeleteAh, yes, the million miles a minute thought train. Mine derails pretty regularly. Hope October is a wonderful month for you.
