Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front:

Drafting this up on Friday afternoon since I don't think I'll have time between now and Sunday.
  • Sunday - Relaxed. Mostly.
  • Monday - Took Jess to a different dentist. That took up my morning. Then worked on the blog for a bit before having lunch and reading.
  • Tuesday - Captain Kirk had an afternoon appt for some swollen eyes. Probably an allergy. Got some eye drops and he got a steroid shot.
  • Wednesday - Took Kyle to work.  Artemis had an appt for wellness, ProHeart shot, check some red toes, and inspect a small lump on her chest. Labs came back that it's just fat. No worries.
  • Thursday - Took Kyle to work. Grocery pick up.
  • Friday - Hubby and Kyle took the day off since they also have Monday off. Rain. Hubby took me to lunch at Chili's. Got the grandkiddos for a sleepover.
  • Saturday - Taking the grandkiddos home around noon then doing some quick cleaning before heading to the NHL Stadium Series game in Raleigh.
  • Today - Probably some cleaning if it didn't get done then maybe working outside for a bit.
Mom's week: She's been joining more in the activities and having fun. Had some bloodwork done and her hemoglobin is low again, 9 instead of 11. They are doing more bloodwork and tests to see if they can figure out why. In the meantime, if it gets too low she'll have to go to the hospital to top off her tank. She's enjoying the postcards I've been sending. Especially the one where I drew a drumstick and an angry chicken with a peg leg. She showed it around. It was a big hit. Now I'm positive I will not come up with anything more funny than that. Shit. I've peaked too early.

Touching Nature: Been pretty nice. Even opened the windows since the pollen isn't bad enough to mess with Kyle. Got rain on Friday. Supposed to be cooler Saturday then nice again. Spring may be settling in here in North Carolina. Picked a bunch of daffodils here and at the remote abandoned property next door. Convinced Trip to go with me by saying, "What if I fall and break my leg? Someone needs to drag me back to our property before calling an ambulance." LOL

Book News: Not a whole lot to report here. sigh

Don't Touch That Dial!: Cold Case season 4.

At the Flicks: Nope

Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Zen Match, jigsaw puzzles

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom:  Speaking of sticks, everyone needs a good walking stick. One maybe made out of cedar, mostly straight but with interesting features and runes carved in it. It must be sturdy enough to help you over rough terrain and to beat off assholes. Ok, don't do that unless you absolutely must because you don't need an assault with a deadly weapon charge.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

    1. I'm still recovering from Saturday evening. I kinda hate that staying up late is no longer in the cards for me, but also I don't hate it. lol The weather be trippin' this coming week, but I'll take it since I have so much to do outside.

  3. I have to use a cane often and its one of the ugly medical ones. I keep looking for a lovely walking stick/cane but haven't come across one that works on this short lady...lol Hope this week has far less appointments!

    1. Ooooh. I wish my hubby had his workshop already set up. We could make you one. Unfortunately, that's a future project. Like, after the Kubota is paid off. Then a workshop will be built. sigh
