Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front:
  • Sunday - Mostly relaxed. Hubby and I went out to the woods to see if we could find one of our property markers now that all the foliage is dead. He had some kind of app that put us in the close vicinity and then we found it. Yay!
  • Monday - Took Kyle to work. Shampooed the hallway because Vengeance shit all over it then because he paces in circles he walked through it and, well, I'm sure you get the picture. Then I finished reading a book.
  • Tuesday - Took Kyle to work. Then took his car to be inspected for new tags, so Trip and I had breakfast at the little diner next door. Yum! I love when we have to go to the mechanic's. Well, I only love going because of the diner, not because we have shit that needs done to our vehicles. lol Trip and I strung the solar lights out on the front porch then put away the kerosene heaters which means we'll probably get something like freezing rain and  a power outage soon because that's how my life rolls. LOL Worked on the blog.
  • Wednesday -  Took Kyle to work then stopped and filled his vehicle up with go juice. Trip and I ran a bunch of errands. I hate errands.
  • Thursday - Took Kyle to work. Grocery pick up at Walmart and BJ's. Made breakfast for dinner. Started the bacon in the afternoon so it would be ready. I should have used the griddle grill (it'll hold 3 lbs all at once), but I'm pretty sure it needs scrubbed and I didn't feel like doing it.
  • Friday - Took Kyle to work. I'm tired. Ending up falling alseep in the afternoon while trying to read a book. Dammit. Cut hubby's hair after he got home from work.
  • Saturday - Cleaning day. Then went out and burned some brush since rain is moving in tonight.
  • Today - It's the Super Bowl and we're set with snacks galore. We're going to graze all day and evening. LOL
Mom's week: Had a decent week. She's been joining in more with the daily activities. I'm guessing to stave off boredom. Bro and sis-in-law took her to a farmer's market on Saturday to get some stuff from bees, like lotion and chapstick. All local sourced. She loves that shit. lol I talked to her about possibly moving in with us at some point down the road. She's working hard to get back to the farm at the end of April and she should be able to, but I wanted to have her put the idea in her back pocket for later. It would be a big move though, so a lot to think about. But hopefully that's a few years away.

Touching Nature: Got nice out this week. Then the rain moved in on Sunday. Again. I felt guilty for not working outside, but I had other stuff to do. Besides, it's only February for fuck's sake. lolol

Book News: Not a whole lot to report here. I finished a tour book and got the review and post up on time. I need to finish another one for Weds. Sign ups for authors and panelists is open for BBNYA 2023! Anyone interested can the click the links to read all about it. This will be my 4th year as a panelist. My TBR hates me for it. LOL

  1. Sounds like a pretty normal week. I enjoyed the weather being better though. I am not sure if I will pick The Maid's Diary or not. I do love Loreth Anne White, but I may prefer the audio.

  2. I also added Maid's Diary. And your nugget of wisdom is right on! Easy to forget that perspective though. Have a terrific week.

  3. Haha, I feel the yard shame. Mine is a mess, and I want to fix it, but it's February! The ground is frozen. There's really not much I can do.
