Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front:
  • Sunday - Mostly relaxed.
  • Monday - Took Kyle to work. Nancy came to do the dogs' nails. Did some blog work.
  • Tuesday - Took Kyle to work. Hubby took Kyle's car to work and left his car for me to take for inspection so we can get this year's tags for it. Trip and I had breakfast at Pano's next door. So very yum. You cannot beat an old tiny diner for great food at decent prices. I love that we'll be going back next week and the week after since I have two more vehicles to get inspected. hehehe
  • Wednesday -  Took Kyle to work. I really need to get him out on the road practicing in his own car so I don't have to do this every morning while hubby works 10 hr days. Dropped Vengeance off at vet so they could get a urine sample to test. Luckily, no problems there. He has enough problems so its nice to know there's nothing else going on. Took Jess to a dentist who is fucking terrible. Wouldn't prescribe an antibiotic for her infection so I took her to urgent care. Dumbfuck dentist also kept telling Jess he would pull her wisdom teeth despite her saying NO. Medicare dentists only want as much money as possible and give no fucks about their patients. Our country is seriously fucked up when it comes to healthcare. It makes me so fucking mad!
  • Thursday - Took Kyle to work. Grocery pick up. In the cold rain. Just a few degrees above freezing. Ugh
  • Friday - Took Kyle to work. Started the first weekend of the month cleaning as well as getting a jump on the usual Saturday cleaning. Trip unboxed the new carpet shampooer and did the main areas since it hasn't been done in a while and Vengeance keeps shitting on the floor. I know he can't help it (he's old and has dementia among other things) but that doesn't make it any less frustrating. Also, I fucking loathe the 22 yr old carpet. I'd love to tear it all out and get hardwood laminate but that's not in the budget for several more years.
  • Saturday - Finished off the cleaning. The guys put together the new canopy to cover the Kubota since hubby fucked the other one up when a tree he cut fell on it. Even though I told him not to drop any more in that direction. See what happens when hubbies don't listen? Anyway, only half of it is fucked up so we'll use it to cover the firewood racks for now. I always try to reuse and recycle. LOL I washed the solar light strands and put them in the sun to charge since we finally have some sun. Stupid fucking rain. Trip can hang them on the front porch tomorrow or Monday. Maybe that'll help since they took the Christmas lights down.
  • Today - I want to relax and finish a tour book.
Mom's week: Mostly boring she said. LOL It's been very cold. She did sign up to make the trip to the drug store. They go every Wednesday. And the best part is, she said when she went up the bus steps her knees did not hurt at all. All the exercising is apparently helping. Yay! On Groundhog Day some of the staff dressed up as groundhogs and residents shot them with Nerf guns. Mom said it was a blast! Not literally.

Touching Nature: Uggggghhhhhhh Rain, rain, rain, cold, cold, cold. Finally some sun this weekend! Way below freezing Friday and Saturday nights so I had to cover my daffodils with ice cream tubs (these things really come in handy which is why I have a big stack of them lol) and some cardboard boxes.

Book News: Not much. Wrote a couple of reviews though so yay me!

Don't Touch That Dial!: In season 2 of Cold Case.

At the Flicks: Nope

Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Zen Match, jigsaw puzzles

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom:  Don't leave your potatoes in the bag. Store them in a cool, dry, dark place if possible. Rotten potatoes smell really really horrible. Seriously.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

From the library
