Hello and Happy Sunday!
Happy Lunar New Year!
Year of the Rabbit
On the Home Front:
- Sunday - Helped hubby install new suspension rods in washer. Cleaned where washer sits. Then Anna dumped the litterboxes, I washed, she dried, I filled, and she put them back. Just doing those few tasks exhausted me. So I relaxed the rest of the day.
- Monday - Hubby and Kyle off work. I don't remember what I did. Probably just took it easy.
- Tuesday - Rain. Blog work.
- Wednesday - Placed a TSC pick up order for the first time. They did a good job. Swung by vet to pick up Vengeance's medicine and CVS for hubby's meds.
- Thursday - Took Kyle to work. Grocery pick up - Walmart and BJ's. Also stopped at the pet store. I should check out their curbside pick up.
- Friday - Took Kyle to work. Stopped by Lowe's to pick up a water heater and a new carpet shampooer. New heater will be installed Thursday. Ours is 22 yrs old and we think it's clogged since the hot water comes out slow. We're afraid if we drain it, it'll stop working completely because that's how we roll. So, we decided to just replace it. We're handy enough to do it ourselves but we don't want to. LOL Also, my damn daffodils are blooming already.
- Saturday - Did the Saturday cleaning and didn't get tired. So, yay. Hubby worked in the morning then went out to keep clearing the land where the garage will eventually be.
- Today - Possibly help Anna with her room if she gets her homework done. Otherwise, probably just relax and read. Supposed to rain all day.
Mom's week: A good week. Edema in right leg is still not bad. She now has compression socks to help. Went to get her hair and toes done yesterday so she's all prettied up. She said she's bored so I told her to plan out her flower beds and planters for the farm.
Touching Nature: Not horrible. Got some rain and then it started getting chillier at night. My daffodils done lost their minds because they are peeking out of the ground and some are even blooming. Sorry, my pretties, but I am not going out to clean the beds until after Feb. 1st. lol
Book News: Chugging right along so far. I have 7 reviews to write, but I still need to write those 3 BBNYA ones. I'll get to them this week. Hopefully.
Don't Touch That Dial!: Still watching Bones, season 11. Oh, no. There's the episode about Hodgins. Pretty sure we stopped watching at some point in this season. It doesn't seem very familiar. We'll get it finished this time and we better start thinking about what to watch next.
At the Flicks: Nope
Cyberspace Playground: Wordle, Zen Match, jigsaw puzzles
Randomness:
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Just a reminder that you left your hot drink on the counter (or in the microwave) and there's clothes that need switched over. You're welcome.
That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

Sounds like a nice normal week without too much drama. We all need those sometimes. Hope you have a great week and finish a good book.

You got a lot accomplished. I just watched a YOUtube video from NC Extension service about laying out the garden plot. What's TSC? I was looking at mug warmers and found something I like much better. I got some new 22oz insulated mugs. I make tea in them and it is hot all afternoon. I also got 34oz ones but they were just too big so I sent them back.

Hmmm how'd you know I have clothes in the washer? LOL! I pretty much always have clothes in the washer (or dryer)!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're recovering pretty well and had a decent amount of energy, considering all you accomplished! Yay! Hope you continue to feel better :)
I think I do have something in the dryer that needs to be folded and put away, actually. A comforter.
ReplyDeleteI wish I was handy like your family. I can't do a dang thing for myself. LOL
Glad your mom is feeling good enough to say she's bored.
Hope ya'll have a good week!
