Hello and Happy Sunday!
Red Alert! Christmas is in one week!
ONE WEEK!
On the Home Front:
- Sunday - Relaxed. I could get used to doing very little on Sundays.
- Monday - Mr Puggles vet appt for a ruptured anal gland. No infection so they expressed and sent home anti-inflammatory. Anal glands and quicks should be bred out of dogs. lol
- Tuesday - Blog work.
- Wednesday - Did the grocery shopping and some errands.
- Thursday - Rain, rain, rain. Blog work
- Friday - Last of the Christmas shopping. I was gone nearly all day and went about 100 places. I loathe shopping.
- Saturday - Cleaning and working on the blog.
- Today - Hopefully just relaxing and maybe reading.
Mom's week: Santa came and handed out presents. Mom was surprised he knew she loved the type of tea and socks she got then she got suspicious, pointing her finger at us. Hehehe She had a good week. Many people at the Inn are sick, but she's masking vigorously, even at the table. She said she pulls it down to take a bite then puts it back up while she chews since she chews slow and thoroughly. Hey, you do what you can. She had an eye doctor appt that oldest bro took her to then they had lunch out and did a bunch of errands. She has macular degeneration in both eyes, one wet and one dry. Occasionally she has to get a shot in the one that's wet, but no shot this time. The physical therapist was so pleased with her progress she released mom and told her to use her cane as much as possible and keep up with her exercises, which she has been doing. She still uses her hot wheels when going to meals because she can carry her wipes, tea bags, and various things in her little carrier and if she decides to bring her meal back to her room she can. Good idea.
Touching Nature: Not too bad this week until Weds night into all day Thursday where it was chilly and rained, rained, rained. Figures. Just as it was drying out. Hubby has been clearing some land for an eventual garage and he didn't listen to me about where the trees should fall. Guess what? The top part of a tree he cut and let fall in the opposite direction I told him, fucked up half the canopy covering the Kubota, but luckily that was all the damage. We'll have to replace it but it's not too expensive.
Book News: Finally finishing books I started for tours early in the year and had to pause so I did spotlights instead. Then I actually updated the reviews. Go me! Right now I've read 58 books this year (pathetic) and have all the reviews written.
Don't Touch That Dial!: Still watching Bones, just started season 7. I hate that this is the season we're introduced to Pelant. I hate him. lol

ReplyDeleteI'm hoping it's a good one. *fingers crossed* Some things shouldn't really need to be said, but I find they sometimes do. LOL
DeleteI'm so glad you Mom is doing better, Carol. I had errands on Thursday and I was freezing and miserable. Friday was great with warmer and south winds. It looks like for Christmas weekend we will be an ice cube with maybe snow? Wishing you peace and joy for your holidays!
