Hello and Happy Sunday!
(post written on Saturday)

On the Home Front:

  • Friday - Fairly bad week (I'll explain next week), but good news arrived today.
  • Saturday - All day cleaning.
  • Today - I have no idea. Work outside for a bit? Read? Laze around? Maybe I'll consult the Magic 8Ball.
Mom update: Started out having a rough week, but got better as it progressed. Wednesday marked the halfway point for treatment. She and Anna went Saturday to get their hair and nails done then she had a wonderful surprise visit from a favorite nephew and niece-in-law who were in Ohio (they live in Texas) for Labor Day weekend. Whew! That secret was a hard one to keep. Hehehe Good juju in all forms still appreciated.

Touching Nature:  Mowed Wednesday and Trip used the weed eater. The grass (I use this term loosely, it's mostly weeds lol) was long and wet. Yuck.

Book News: Slow progress in this category.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Supernatural seasons 12 & 13 complete and nearly halfway through 14. There are some great episodes but this show is exhausting when binging. If I ever rewatch this series, (big if), I'm only going to watch my favorite episodes.

At the Flicks: Not yet.

Cyberspace Playground: Still Wordle and Zen Match

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: I got nothing this week. I'm exhausted from stress.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  2. Hmm, I have to check what's Zen match!
You know, my experience is there's nothing like making pancakes from scratch. It doesn't take that long, and you avoid all the bad stuff they add to it (to make it last on the shelves for instance, plus way to much sugar or sodium) and make you sick eventually
I hope you have an easier week!

    1. It's a matching game that frustrates me sometimes now that I'm in the higher levels. LOL
I'm not a fan of pancakes/waffles for myself, but when I make them for the family I usually just use a mix. I loathe cooking and anything that makes it quicker is okay by me. lol

  3. I'm sorry it was rough this week. At least Wed / Thur had lower humidity which felt good.

    1. Oh yes. The weather has been a bit nicer (mostly) and hopefully will continue to get down into that sweet sweet spot (upper 70s/low 80s low humidity)

  4. I love Supernatural so much. I started watching it when it first came on, but then it conflicted with Bones and because the husband was a Bones fan, it won. Around season 12's release of Supernatural, I decided to catch up. I really enjoyed bingeing it. I was sad when season 13 came out and I had to wait a week sometimes more between episodes, lol. Have you watched the whole series before and your just rewatching it? Or is this your first time through?

    1. Don't get me wrong, I love the show in general. lol We had watched through season 9 twice, then did a rewatch through season 10. Now, it was a rewatch through season 10 then all new for us after. We had some spoilers because the show's been going for so long, but we've had some nice surprises, too. I'll just be glad when it's over and we can move on to the next thing. Which we think will be Lucifer.
