Hello and Happy Sunday!
On the Home Front: What the hell did I do this week? Stuff, I guess. The guy came on Tuesday to look at our fireplace and see about converting to a wood burning stove. Yeah, that's gonna be expensive. They did give me an alternative to try so I need to do a bit of research and see if it'll work for us. Otherwise that project will go on the list. Far far down the list.
I did the bulk of my Saturday cleaning Friday. I combined it with my usual monthly cleaning and got it almost done before I had to pick up our food from Texas Roadhouse, compliments of Kyle for Mother's Day. I wanted to do nothing all weekend, but it didn't work out that way. Yesterday I had to run hubby's car to the tire place because the passenger back tire had a slow leak. Hubby drove Kyle's car to work because they made it yet another mandatory Saturday. Anyway, taking his car meant breakfast at the diner next door so that was yummy. Then I picked up Krispy Kreme for Mother's Day. Then I filled his car up with gas since it was nearly on E. I got home and started to finish the cleaning and I needed to feed the critters outside. Hubby got home right before I needed to drop the boys off at the movie so we decided to grab lunch at Chili's. Yum. Then right before I went to pick up the boys (hubby was going to do it but he fell asleep lol) it started raining. Again. And now I'm doing this post and about to hit publish so I can go eat some Texas Roadhouse leftovers for dinner. I ordered a bit extra so there's food for tomorrow, too. Because, like my birthday, I don't do shit on Mother's Day. :D
Rocky has a vet appt this coming week and I'll need to do grocery pick up on Weds because Kyle is getting four wisdom teeth out on Thursday morning and I have to wait there. I'm anxious about it because he didn't do well after having some teeth pulled for his braces a few years ago. His heart rate wouldn't come down after he was out of the anesthetic. He had a cardiogram after that and everything was fine, so I hope it's something he outgrew.
Next Sunday I'll probably be traveling to Ohio. Anna wants to go stay with my mom for awhile, so we'll drive her car there and leave it with her. Then she can tote her grandma around since she doesn't drive anymore and my sis-in-law is driving her car. I'm hoping to rent a tiny U-Haul truck to bring back some of my shit I have stored there in the big barn. Otherwise I'll have to fly back. This week I need to try and reserve one or the other.
Touching Nature: Got to the 80s, then it rained and cooled down. Then it was dry and then it rained some more. Friday late afternoon we had a hella storm. Rained again yesterday afternoon. It is very soggy here. Way too soggy to do anything with the Giant Cursed Stump.
Book News: Not reading much. Trying to get back in a groove.
Don't Touch That Dial!: Still watching Without A Trace. Creeping closer to finishing this. We really hate Sam and Jack. lol
At the Flicks: Nope. Though the boys went to see The Northman yesterday.
Cyberspace Playground: Still enjoying Wordle.
Randomness:
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Pay attention when driving especially around motorcycles. I was coming home on the highway the other day and saw a motorcycle almost get creamed TWICE.

Good luck to Kyle! I was really sick when I woke up from wisdom teeth surgery. I threw up blood all over my parents' car. It was like a horror movie. I guess my teeth bled a lot, and I swallowed it. I was completely fine a few days later, though.

DeleteI love Texas Roadhouse but we haven't gone since we went gluten free for my daughter. I plan more around weather than special days. I hope to mow the lawn today because it's only 50 and I prefer that to 88 for mowing or rain. We needed the rain so I'm ok with it. It's meant less watering but also less days available to mow. Happy Mother's Day Carol! Good luck on your Ohio trip.

Thank you and Happy Mother's Day to you! I did get the mowing done and it was almost cool enough for a jacket. O.o Too bad we're heading for the 80s and maybe even 90s later this coming week. Ugh
