Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: So, it turns out getting up at 3:30am every morning sucks ass. Glad we're not doing it again this week. Because going to bed by 8:30pm also sucks ass since I didn't get to watch the Hurricanes. Kyle has to work over an hour (done at 4:30) each day this coming week for OT so that means hubby has to stay, too since they ride together, but he can also work OT so that's not too awful. $$$ And much better than getting up early, especially for me. LOL

Andrew broke up with Anna on Sunday then Monday they decided to try again. I'm not even going to add my two cents on this subject. But I was worried sick about her state of mind Sunday and Monday since she has depression and anxiety.

Nox went to the vet specialist on Monday (she's been "coughing" occasionally) and I was there a couple of hours while they took more xrays and did an exam before I left her for a procedure to get some samples from her lungs. The specialist says her lungs don't look as bad as originally thought but there is definitely something going on. They got good samples and she came home later that day. May have most of the test results this week, but fungal results could take 4 weeks. I got a lot of reading done Monday.

Trip and I worked outside Weds (I bought enough Subway for our lunch and for everyone for dinner) and Fri and we did grocery pick up Thurs. Anna's Civic needed the A/C checked so it got dropped off Thurs morn. We made a stop at Panera Bread for scones then hit Nature's Emporium for pet food. We picked the Civic up around 4:30. Trip and I did a BJ's run Friday (groceries and gas for the Pilot) before working outside and I had already done a Food Lion run early. It's been a busy week with not as much sleep as I'm used to (and require). Yuck.

Yesterday hubby had to go to work from 5am-11, so I slept until 7. I got up, made tea, then started cleaning. I cleaned, mopped, tidied, vacuumed, did litter boxes, 5 loads of laundry, tamed the feral greenery, performed various other miscellany tasks, cut hubby's hair then showered before relaxing with leftover Chinese food from Friday's dinner. Watched the pathetic showing of the Indians at the White Sox aand then we watched the Hurricanes. At the time of this drafting (I'm on my laptop which I hate btw- nothing wrong with it, I just hate laptops lol) it is tied at 1-1 in the 3rd period. *chews fingernails*

In other news, the roofers are supposed to come tomorrow at 7am to do our skylights. WOOT! However, the forecast is showing 60% chance of rain. Not sure when it's supposed to rain, but hopefully it'll be after the skylights are done. *fingers crossed*

Touching Nature: It got a bit warm for this time of year (low 80s), but a brief shower Thursday night cooled things down again. Trip and I worked Weds and Fri under the back deck cleaning out old firewood, tidying, and building new firewood racks. We have a bit more to do then we'll fire up the log splitter and work on the hurricane tree. I tamed the feral greenery yesterday and wore one of my gators because the dust (it's been very dry) and the pollen and who knows what else kicked up by the mower was killing me. *cough cough blow nose repeatedly*

Book News: I managed to finish 3 books this week and put a dent in another! Still have multiple reviews to write though.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Hubby and I managed a couple of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and we're about halfway through season 5. Trip and I finished Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Avengers in our Marvel chronological rewatch.

At the Flicks: Nope. But Trip is going to see Demon Slayer today.

Cyberspace Playground: Nope

Randomness:

Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: My mom sent Anna a letter after she heard about the break up and in it she said: The past belongs in the past. Move forward. You never know what is waiting for you.

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  1. I watched the Royals and every other week on their Mommy's week she drops them off a 5 am. Sometimes they sleep on the sofa until 7, but other days they stay up. Those hours throw my sleep schedule out of whack and I find I am falling asleep before 9 am every night.

Looks like you had a good week. I am crossing my fingers that the rain comes after the skylight is installed.

    Hugs.

  3. What a productive week! Changing your sleep schedule is rarely good or productive. I'm still having most things delivered but we are getting out a bit more for medical checkups and such we put off during the last year, now that we are vaccinated. Hope you have a nice week with better sleeping later.
