Hello and Happy Sunday!

On the Home Front: It's been quite a week.  Lots going on family-wise (health) that I don't even want to get into right now. It'll take too long and I don't have the energy. Just send posivibes. Also have a serious issue we're dealing with regarding our black cat Nox. I'm taking her to a specialist tomorrow. The rest of the week was just Trip and me working outside and we had the knee nibblers for an overnight Friday.

In other news, our skylights came in a week ahead of schedule at Lowe's. Picking those up today then I'll call the roofers tomorrow to get scheduled for installation.

Finally, hubby and Kyle are working overtime this week. Tomorrow they get up at 4:30 to get there by 6am and then T-F they need to be there at 5am, so that means getting up at 3:30. Are you shitting me? Yeah, sorry guys, but I'm going back to bed. I may not even get up at all. I'll just get their lunches ready the night before. Yes. They are big boys. They could get their lunch together all by themselves. But I do it for them. That is, until I don't want to do it anymore. LOL

Touching Nature: Cooler this week with a bit of rain on Monday and a lot of rain yesterday. In between it was very nice weather. Trip and I worked outside a couple of days but still have much to do. The beans hubby and I planted in a planter on the back deck have sprouted way sooner than we thought they would. We had to cover them a couple of nights when it got just at or a little below freezing but they are starting to take off.

Book News: Finished a couple but still need to write reviews. Ugh.

Don't Touch That Dial!: Trip and I started our Marvel re-watch. We did Captain America and Captain Marvel since we're going in chronological order. I guess we'll do all the movies first (except Hulk because we don't care) then move on to tv shows.

At the Flicks: Nope. But the boys are going to see Mortal Kombat today.

Cyberspace Playground: Nope

Randomness: My older brothers had Pong. I played around with it, but by the time my hand-eye coordination was better mom had moved on to another gaming system (Odyssey 2) for us. And by us, I mean me, since I was 10 and they were 18 & 20 by then and off to college. LOL
Carol's Nuggets of Wisdom: Do not let age define you. I will not be walking into the sea, except to enjoy the water should I ever get back to the beach. LOL

That's it for me. AVR News Update signing off. May all your books enthrall you.

  3. I hope things work out this week. It was great to do the outside stuff last week when it was cooler. I think this week will be hot.

  4. Praying for the sick people and cat. I think it's great that you pack lunches for the poor guys having to get up at such ungodly hours. I wouldn't want to have to deal with packing MY own lunch if I had to get up that early so I'm sure they must appreciate it very much.

  5. Sending you some positive health vibes. I would make the lunches the night before for sure. No reason to get up at 330 if you don't *have* to! When people post those comments about getting old. I remind myself getting to be old is a luxury
